Y/n's POV

The next morning dad talked to me and Harry. Telling us that we should have waited for him and mum to come back instead of taking the car to school. He eventually said that he was proud and amazed that I was able to drive a car without crashing it as a 12 year old.

We were currently attending Herbology. A mixture of all 4 houses attended the class. So I sat next to Louis and Neville while Draco sat across from us with Harry sitting next to him along with the new slytherin girl who I still haven't met yet. Hermione sat next to Harry while Ron sat next to Louis.

Ron still doesn't exactly like the idea of being "friends" with Draco but he isn't entirely hating it either.

"Good morning Everyone."

"Good morning Professor Sprout." The class said in unison.

"Welcome to Greenhouse Three, second years. Now gather around." She said, motioning us to move closer to the table. "Today we will be repotting mandrakes." She grabbed one of the pots from behind her.

"Now who here can tell me the properties of Mandrake root?" She asked the class.

Both Louis and Hermione raised their hands.

I knew how much Louis had a love for herbology. It was one of his favorite subjects in school. He would read every single book about herbology he could get his hands on.

"Yes Mr...?"

"Mr. Partridge, Professor Sprout. Mandrake or Mandragora is used to return those who have been petrified to their original state. But one should take caution around the plant. Because the Mandrake's cries are fatal to anyone who hears it." Louis stated. Smiling in the end, proud that he was able to answer the question.

"Excellent. Ten points to Hufflepuff." Sprout announced.

"Now since our mandrakes are only seedlings, their cries won't kill you. But they can knock you out for hours which is why you were given earmuffs for auditory protection. So please put them on before we start." She instructed.

Everyone followed her instructions and quickly placed on the earmuffs. She then started instructing how to extract the mandrake from the pot. Just as she pulled out the plant it began to let out a painful cry. I winced the second I heard its cries.

She then proceeded to place the mandrake into another pot and fill it with soil. Just as she placed more soil into the pot, Neville started to look uneasy. He then fell to the ground unconscious.

My eyes widened and knelt down to check on him.

Professor Sprout let out a sigh. "Longbottom's been neglecting his earmuffs."

"Um no Professor, He just fainted." I said to her,

"Yes, well, just leave him there." She said to me,

Louis knelt down as well and helped me move Neville to a different spot so that he would be more comfortable.

"Right, on we go. Choose a pot. Grasp the mandrake and pull it up." Sprout instructed.

Everyone followed in her instructions. We all simultaneously pulled out the mandrakes. Painful cries suddenly filled the greenhouse. Though we had the earmuffs it was still painful to hear the high pitched cries.

I looked towards Draco to see him placing his finger into the Mandrakes mouth. The plant closed its mouth, now biting his finger. The boy was now trying to pull his hand away from the plant.
