CHAPTER 3

AFTER three days, Levi got discharged from the hospital. He's recovering fast. Lorenzo was happy but at the same time, he's sad. Alam niya kasing malalayo na naman sa kaniya ang mate niya at hindi niya alam kung kailan na naman sila magkikita. He wanted to tell Levi that they are mates but he couldn't.

Lorenzo sighed heavily.

Levi is a werewolf. He has nothing to worry about. Ang hindi niya lang maintindihan ay parang hindi siya kilala ni Levi bilang mate nito. There was no recognition in his eyes that he is his mate. Or is Levi experiencing the same that his mother experienced before? Did Levi lose his sense of smell that's why he couldn't recognize him as his mate?

This is so freakin' hard!

Nasapo ni Lorenzo ang mukha. He is in the kitchen. Yes, he's back to the pack house two days ago. But he's always in deep thoughts and he was like he has his own world. At dahil na kusina siya, lahat ng mga papasok sa kusina ay mapapatigil at mapapatingin kay Prince Lorenzo.

Hindi niya alam kung ano ang dapat niyang gawin. Being away with his mate make him crazy as fuck. He wanted to be with his mate but because of 'Levi couldn't recognize him as his mate', kailangan niyang magtiis.

Should I go to him and tell him that we are soulmates?

"-'nak?!"

Napakurap si Lorenzo at napatingin sa ina nasa harapan niya. "Mom? What are you doing?" tanong niya.

His mother sighed. "Are you okay, Lorenzo?" may pag-aalalang tanong ng kaniyang ina.

Tipid na ngumiti si Lorenzo. "I'm fine. May iniisip lang ako."

"Anak, alam kong may problema ka. Pwede mo namang sabihin sa akin? I am your mother." Ani Serenity.

Umiling si Lorenzo. "Thanks, Mom. But I can manage."

"You sure?"

Tumango si Lorenzo. "Yes, Ma'am." Umalis siya sa pagkakaupo sa stool. "Magpapahinga lang po ako, Ma'am. I'll be on my night shift in the hospital later."

"O-okay."

Lorenzo smiled and walked towards his mother. Hinalikan niya ito sa noo saka siya naglakad palabas ng kusina. Napabuntonghininga siya habang naglalakad siya patungo sa kaniyang kwarto. Hindi niya alam kung ano ba ang dapat niyang gawin.

Levi Fontana. His soulmate. His other half.

Ten years ago, he wasn't bother like this. But ten years later, he was really bothered. Napailing siya at ginulo ang sariling buhok. Kailangan niyang mag-isip ng paraan upang mapalapit siya sa mate niya. Maybe, Levi will recognize him later. And he needed to wait. But for now, he needed to do something to get close to his mate.

With courage, he entered his room, only to see his brother sitting on the leather couch beside his bed, with a book on his hands.

"Giovanni, what are you doing here?" tanong niya.

Hindi inalis ng kapatid niya ang tingin mula sa binabasa nitong libro. "You came back to the pack house two days ago after staying at the hospital for almost one week. What made you busy?" Giovanni asked. "And when you came back, you are in deep thoughts," he added.

Lorenzo cleared his throat. "Nothing much-"

"Bullshit!" Giovanni angrily throws the book and stood up. He walked towards his brother and hell his collar.

Napakurap si Lorenzo. "A-are you mad?" tanong niya. This is the first time that he saw his twin brother being mad.

"What do you think?" galit na tanong ni Giovanni. "Pinag-alala mo ako, Lorenzo. Thanks to mom that she's telling us every day that you're okay and you have your patient. And you needed to take care of him 24/7. Like what the hell, Lorenzo?! Hindi mo man lang ba inisip na may nag-aalala sa 'yo?!" padaskol na binitawan ni Giovanni ang kwelyo ni Lorenzo.

"I'm sorry," mahinang sabi ni Lorenzo. "I just can't leave him."

Nawala ang galit sa mukha ni Giovanni. "Him?"

Lorenzo looked into his twin brother's eyes and said, "my mate. He was sent to the hospital dying and I can't just leave him like that. I'm sorry." Aniya.

"Is he okay now?" Giovanni asked. His anger was dissipated and replaced by worry after knowing the reason why Lorenzo stayed in the hospital for almost one week. But then he realized something before Lorenzo could answer his question. "Huwag mo na pala akong sagutin. You're here now so I assume that he's okay now?"

Tumango si Lorenzo at napabuga ng hangin.

"But it's you who doesn't look okay," ani Giovanni.

"I'm okay," Lorenzo smiled to his twin brother but Giovanni didn't buy it, knowing Lorenzo, he's good at pretending, which is not good.

Giovanni narrowed his eyes to his twin brother. "Lorenzo, before our parents found out about your mate and you, being like this. You better tell me so that I could help you." Aniya. "And trust me, once they find out about your mate and you're hiding him which I understand your reason why are you hiding him, you know what will happen."

Malalim na bumuntonghininga si Lorenzi at umupo siya sa gilid ng kama. "Levi doesn't recognize me as his mate."

"What?" nagtaka si Giovanni. "How did that happen? Hindi ba lobo siya kagaya natin pero lumaki lang siya sa piling ng mga hunters. He was adopted by the leader of Wolf Hunter's Organization Stefano Fontana."

Lorenzo looked at his twin. "Maybe he was experiencing what mom has experienced to dad before. She loses her sense of smell and that's the reason why she couldn't tell that dad is her mate. Maybe, Levi is the same."

"But it's because mom is special," Goivanni reasoned.

Umiling si Lorenzo. "I don't know, Giovanni. I think I need to rest so that I could think of a plan how I will get close to my mate." Humiga siya sa kama.

"Do you need my help?" tanong ni Giovanni.

Ngumiti si Lorenzo. "I would love to but let me do this, Giovanni. I can do this. And besides he is my mate. Let me plan and seduce him. Ako pa. Kaya ko siyang paamuin kung sakali. I will make him fall for me and that's a promise." Aniya habang nakangisi.

Giovanni just shook his head listening to his twin brother choice of word. "Okay." Tumango siya. "If that's what you want then I'll support you. But I'm just here, okay? If you need help, just tell me."

Tumango si Lorenzo na may bahid ng ngiti sa labi. "Thank you."

Nagpaalam na si Giovanni sa kakambal. "May gagawin pa ako. Magpahinga ka na." Then he stormed out from Lorenzo's room. After closing the door, he sighed. Shaking his head, he went to his office. Is having a mate this hard? Napailing siya. Maybe. Well, let's see once I found mine.

While Lorenzo, closed his eyes and force himself to sleep, hoping that when he wakes up, he will have a precise plan how to get close to his mate? Or he could file a leave of vacation again? Napailing siya. Dr. Reed will surely castrate him.

And with that, Lorenzo fell asleep.
