CHAPTER 23

HINAWAKAN ni Levi ang suot na maskara habang nakatingin siya kay Sky na nasa loob ito ng isang restaurant at kumakain kasama ang katrabaho nito. Humugot ng malalim na hininga si Levi saka napatingin sa kasama niya na nasa harapan niya.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked Pietro.

"Your Excellency, we've been following that girl for almost one month. If you like her then why won't you approach her? I feel weird seeing you wearing a mask." Ani Pietro.

Napabuga ng hangin si Levi. "This is what you do not understand. That woman is my sister." Uminom siya ng tubig. "And I need to protect her."

Pietro looked at Sky. "Kung kapatid mo siya, bakit ka nakasuot ng maskara?" tanong nito.

Tipid na ngumiti si Levi. "Ang alam niya ay patay na ako. Okay. Stop asking. Just eat then we'll leave." Aniya.

Gusto pa sanang magtanong ni Pietro pero itinikom na lang niya ang bibig at nagpatuloy sa pagkain.

Napabuntonghininga si Levi habang kumakain. Tomorrow, babalik na siya sa Italy. He went to this country just to make sure that Sky was safe. He needed to make sure that she's really safe before he will leave. He felt guilty actually. He saw Sky crying one time while blaming herself for his 'death.'

His 'death' is not Sky's fault. It's Bryson's fault. Bryson is the one who shot him in front of Sky.

Gusto man niyang magpakita kay Sky. Gusto man niyang sabihin na buhay pa siya pero hindi pwede. Ayaw niyang mahanap ito ni Bryson.

Nang matapos kumain si Levi at Pietro, umalis na sila ng restaurant pero bago sila lumabas, sumulyap muna si Levi kay Sky. Don't blame yourself, Sky. It's not your fault.

Then he left.

Sumakay si Levi sa kotse habang si Pietro naman ang driver. "Drive me to the Headquarters and book us a flight to Italy. I need to go back now." I miss him.

"Yes, Your Excellency."

Humugot ng malalim na hininga si Levi saka tinanggal ang suot na maskara. He needed to wear this para hindi siya mamukhaan ni Sky. He missed his best friend but he doesn't need to show himself to her. Baka mas lalo lang na mapahamak ito ng dahil sa kaniya. If not because of him, sana hindi ito nakita ni Bryson noon.

When they arrived at the Organization Headquarters, Levi immediately went to his room and get his phone.

He dialed Lorenzo's number. He got busy. Marami siyang mga inasikaso rito sa Germany. Yes, ang layo ng lugar kung saan ipinadala ng ama niya si Sky. Sa Germany talaga. Good thing that they are well off because if not he couldn't get to see his best friend. At may isa pa siyang inasikaso rito sa Germany, ang tungkol sa mga Rogues na nandito at may ilang Rebel Hunters rin ang nanggugulo sa mga pack na nandito.

Last time, nakipag-usap siya kay Giovanni at inimporma ito tungkol sa kalagayan ng mga pack dito sa Germany. He felt bad after that. Natawagan niya si Giovanni pero hindi si Lorenzo. He clutched his head while waiting for Lorenzo to answer his call.

Lorenzo is not answering his call.

Is he mad?

Levi sighed and type a message.

'Renzo, I'm sorry that I didn't contact you for almost one month, I was really busy. I'm here in Germany and I'm coming back. Please, don't be mad.'

He hit send. And type another message. 'Renzo, I'm really sorry. Please don't me mad at me.'

'I miss you, Renzo.'
