CHAPTER 40

WHEN Levi's mother fully recovered, they visited the Greyson Golden Pack. They met the King and Queen of Werewolves. And the other pack members. The King asked Levi's father of he would like to join Greyson Golden Pack but before Levi's father could answer, Levi received a message from his nemesis.

'A silver wolf, huh. I wonder how many of you exist in this world?'

Levi sighed. And he sent a message to Pietro. 'Pietro, make sure that the Rebel Hunter won't trouble the packs here in Italy and Sicily.'

He put back his phone in his pocket and looked at his parents who's also looking at him. "What's wrong?"

"Have you joined the pack?" tanong ng kaniyang ama.

Ngumiti si Levi at sinulyapan si Lorenzo na nasa tabi niya. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ng mate niya bago siya tumingin sa mga magulang. "Yes, Dad. When I was marked, I automatically joined the pack." Aniya.

Tumango ang ama ni Levi.

"Valerio, I know that you are a silver wolf and your kind were already at the verge of extinction. Moreover, we are a family now. So, please, join the pack." Ani King Connor.

Ngumiti ang ama ni Levi. "Kami na lang ng anak ko ang natitirang silver wolf sa mundo. I have witnessed how those hunters eliminated my kind."

The atmosphere became somber.

Nagbaba naman ng tingin si Levi. He could feel his father's pain. He knew it because he already felt how it feels to lose someone important to you.

"Okay. I'll join the pack," Valerio said to lighten up the somber atmosphere.

Napangiti bigla si Levi. He looked at his father. "Thank you, Dad."

"Don't tell Stefano. He'll castrate me." Nakangiwing sabi ni Valerio.

"He's annoying you every day," sabi ni Laura.

Napailing lang si Valerio.

"Then let's do it," sabi ni King Connor. Sinenyasan nito si Hunter.

Tumango si Hunter. Umalis ito saglit at nang bumalik ito, he brought a sharp knife placed on a clean white fabric. It's a beautiful knife with a golden handle.

King Connor stood from his seat. Kinuha nito ang kutsilyo saka sinugatan ang sariling palad.

Valerio did the same and they joined their hands.

Napangiti na lang si Levi nang maramdaman ang bond ng ama sa pack at makonekta ang isip nito sa pack link.

"Welcome to the pack!" said by everyone.

Bahagyang yumukod ang magulang ni Levi. "Thank you."

Yumakap si Serenity sa ina ni Levi. "How about we go out? Girls bonding."

Ngumiti si Laura. "Okay."

"Great!" then Queen Serenity looked at Gianna and Gemma. "Lima na tayo." Masaya niyang saad. "Call Dr. Reed's wife and we will go out later."

"Don't forget to bring pack warriors." Ani King Connor.

"Pack warriors? We can kick asses you know that, C." Queen Serenity said and smiled sweetly.

King Connor gulped.

Natawa si Levi. Halata kasi na kinabahan ang hari dahil sa matamis na ngiti ni Queen Serenity. Tumingin siya sa ibang kasama nila sa living room at pasimple ang mga itong tumitikhim dahil natatawa ang mga ito. Tinatago lang nila ang kanilang pagtawa sa pamamagitan ng pagtikhim.

"No one can really make the King dropped on his knees except The Queen," sabi ni Hunter at tumawa.

Natawa na rin ang iba.

Levi chuckled and looked at Lorenzo. "I love your parents."

Lorenzo kissed Levi's temple and whispered. "I love you. And yes, my parents are like that already."

Ngumiti si Levi saka tinignan ang mga magulang. With new life in Greyson Golden Pack, they will definitely forget about what happened twenty years ago. But maybe, just like him, they couldn't forget about it.

Levi sighed.

"So, can you tell us more about silver wolves?" King Connor asked Valerio. "Because except that we knew that silver wolves are our ancestors. Wala na akong alam tungkol sa kanila. They disappeared hundreds of years ago."

Nagkibit ng balikat si Valerio. "It's true that we disappeared hundreds of years ago but my ancestors settled in the small town in Italy and we kept out identity hidden. To kept out identity, we are not shifting. But accidentally, hunters found out who we are and they began attacking us. No one leaves the place, and when the last time they attack us," Valerio looked at his wife, "my parents pushed me to run away. I ran and ran until I reached Sicily. I stayed there and met my wife. I came back to our village with my wife and kids, for the reason that hunters might already leave that place but they actually made it as their headquarters and the rest... you know what happened."

"Rebel hunters," mahinang sabi ni Levi.

Lahat ay napatingin kay Levi. Levi just stared at his birthmark. "I wanted to avenge my family but they're too many." Aniya.

Lorenzo sighed and tapped Levi's shoulder. "You have us now."

Natawa ng mahina si Levi. "Thanks. But for now, I planned to have a discussion with all of you about the Rogues and Rebel Hunters."

"Should we attacked them and blow their building?" nakangising tanong ni Rocco habang nakatingin kay Levi.

Levi shrugged. "Whatever floats your boat."

"Oh, come on, Levi!" Alessandro said. "We all know what you did when they attacked your Headquarters."

Levi rolled his eyes. "He asked for it."

"What about if I ask you about this? I received a mail and this is about you."

Tumingin silang lahat kay Giovanni na pababa ng hagdan.

Kumunot ang noo ni Levi. "About what?"

Nang makababa si Giovanni sa hagdan, lumapit siya kay Levi at ibinigay niya rito ang cellphone niya.

Levi read the mail.

'Hand over the silver wolf and we won't attack your pack! I'll give you three days to hand him to us if not, you will all perish!'

Lorenzo growled dangerously. "How dare to threaten us?!"

"What does it day?" Valerio asked.

"Hand over the silver wolf and we won't attack your pack. I'll give you three days to hand him to us if not, you will all perish!" Levi read the mail and then he shrugged like it's nothing. "I know who sent it. Is he asking for his own doom?"

"Is everything okay?" Laura asked.

Levi left Lorenzo's side and walked towards his mother. He smiled and kissed her forehead. "Everything's going to be okay, Mom."

"But they want you."

Ngumisi lang si Levi. "Mom, I'm not a Leader for nothing. I can fight well and I can protect myself. Don't worry. Just stay here with Mommy Serenity. Sit back and relax."

"Levi was right," Valerio said. "Our son is a badass. Good luck, son. Hope they don't get you."

"How could you talk like that to our son? Parang wala kang pakialam," pagalit na sabi ng ina ni Levi sa asawa nito.

Napailing na lang si Levi. "Mom, dad was right. I'm badass and I have Lorenzo with me. If I die, he will die also. So, we are going to help each other. Hmm. Don't worry about me too much."

Laura sighed and nodded her head.

"So, what's the plan?" King Connor asked.

Nagkatinginan si Lorenzo at Levi. "Fight and don't die."

"The most awesome plan," they all said with sarcasm.

Levi and Lorenzo just laughed. Fight and don't die. What's wrong with that? It's sounds like a good plan.
