"So when's he gonna be here?" Lana asked, pacing in the living room of her house.

"I dunno. I mean I sent him a text, he'll probably be here soon" I said as I checked my phone for what seemed like the hundredth time.

"Well whatever we're gonna do we'll only have two hours" Lana said, uneasiness present in her voice.

She was acting as if she had to perform in front of a crowd.

To be honest I felt the same.

All this happened so fast I didn't even have time to process all this.

"Something's on your mind. Spill" I replied as I looked at her with a serious look.

She sighed, facing me as her form stiffened.

"What happened on that alley, I just can't get it off my mind." She asked, looking at me.

I sighed, "Same"

"What was that guy after? What did I ever do to him to have a target on my back? And how is it that a guy from your nightmares just randomly pops up out of nowhere? Things just don't add up" Lana replied.

I wanted to tell her the whole story but I couldn't, something held me back. It was as if this voice inside me was telling me 'not now'.

"We'll figure it out later, the whole thing, it'll take time but we'll just have to keep trying" I replied, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Not lies, just dodged the question.

"I think-" She was cut off as the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it, you can come if you want" Lana replied as she stood up to walk to the door.

I walked behind her as she reached and opened the door.

I waited for a few seconds for Lana to move so that I could see who was at the door, but Lana just stood there.

I saw her taking a sharp breath.

I frowned as I peaked, turning to see who it was. I raised an eyebrow.

There in all his 'glory' was Arav.

He was wearing a black leather jacket and a dark pair of denim along with a white t-shirt. His dark hair was slightly messy but in a good way.

I looked back at Lana to see her slightly gaping at him.

The trees were rustling beside the empty road.

I felt tension build up.

I quickly put an arm around Lana's shoulders.

"Arav! How nice of you to finally come after wasting a half an hour of our precious time" I replied sarcastically, looking him directly in the eyes trying to get him the message to stop glaring at my bestie.

Before he could reply, I turned to Lana.

"Lana, are you not going to invite our guest?" She seemed to snap back into reality.

"Oh, right, um.. please come in," Lana replied, stuttering a little.

"I apologize for my delay, I had to travel to New Glasgow" Arav said as he stepped into the house.

Lana turned to me with a look that said, 'seriously?'.

"Why didn't you tell me that he was hot!?" She whispered, as we walked to the living room.

I just shook my head, rolling my eyes.

"Well, at least you're here now. I suppose we should get straight into business, considering how we have a limited amount of time" I replied, dragging Lana to the living room.
