I stood up from my seat next to Arav who was glaring at the parchment scrolls in front of him.
Walking out of the compartment I closed the door as I entered the empty space.
Sitting on one of the seats, I looked out of the window, staring at the orange sky, which was starting to darken.
Sighing I thought back to the events that had taken place since the Sphinx.
Throughout the time Arav has been furious, refusing to even speak a word to me. Ever since we got back into the plane he had taken out those scrolls, glaring at them as they lay in front of him upside down.
It's obvious that his anger was mainly directed at me but I didn't see what was there to make Arav as angry as this.
I heard the compartment door open.
"You know, there was once a time I thought you and Arav were crushing on each other."
I didn't move as I felt my brother's present next to me.
"You were twelve back then and he was fifteen. He came to talk to me. He wanted advice. I thought he was talking about dating advice and that he was implying you. I went overprotective mode and was ready to give Arav a huge speech on the consequences of dating my sister. He said it wasn't about asking you out. So... I assumed it was some other girl. And then.... You barged in.-"
''Then we argued for the rest of the day on who can give better dating advice. At the end of the day all he wanted was some advice on archery."
We chuckled as I completed the story. All of a sudden Ramon stopped laughing.
"Wait, you remember? I thought the dreams had stopped," He asked, looking at me with wide eyes.
"Yeah, the dreams did stop. I dunno how I remember, it's just there, in my mind, I don't know how," I struggled to find words. It was frustrating to feel as if a certain part of your memories had huge gaps and blanks in them.
"Anyway, that's for later..." Ramon said as he turned to face me.
"The point is, Arav really cares about you. I don't know if you remember but he was your best friend. You two were inseparable back then. I know things have changed and that you're living a new life with new people, but try not to be too hard on him. The kid has been through a lot already, I'm sure he had seen you die each time in each life through the years. I know he looks like this emotionless army soldier but he cares..." Ramon replied, looking me in the eyes.
I nodded with a tight smile.
"Did we... have the same names as now back then...?" I asked the question that had been in my mind for a while now. I had been debating if I should ask him or not but since the time presented itself I decided to go ahead. "Why do you ask?" He questioned.
"Nothing much, it's just I was called Alexa in one of my dreams earlier,"
"Well then, Alexa, play single ladies by Beyoncé" he teased with a laugh. I glared at him, punching him in the arm as I felt a laugh escape my lips. "As if your name is any better. Your name sounds like it's a variation of Ramen noodles." I replied as Ramon feigned a scowl.
"But in all seriousness, yeah, we did have different names. You were Alexandrina. I was Raimondo, so yeah I'm Ramon either way."
We looked back at the clouds, settling into a comfortable silence.
"What was it like? Back then I mean? How was our family?" I asked curiously.
"Well..." Ramon began,
