I got out of the bus, gawking at the horizon.

Never in my dreams did I ever think I could get so close, that I could actually see them with my own eyes.

Sure, I knew that I'd someday be able to visit but I never imagined it to be now.

If this were a vacation I would have preferred sitting down and drawing the whole thing in my sketchbook.

But for now I embedded the scenery into my head. Hopefully I'll remember it long enough to transfer this visual image into a drawing later.

I looked at Lana who was standing beside me just as amazed as I was.

"We will have to go the rest of the distance in a horse carriage," Arav replied.

"Can't we just walk? I mean it's a wonderful sight to see," Lana asked, looking at Arav who was standing next to her.

"If you want you can. That is of course if you're willing to walk fifteen kilometers. And you'll also have to make sure the sun won't turn you into toast. I'm seriously not in the mood for a walk right now, but if you are, please, be my guest," Ramon replied sarcastically as he stretched his arms.

"Ramon-" Arav began only for my brother to cut him off

"Yeah yeah fine, you go and get some tickets or something, I'll stay here and babysit these two," Ramon grumbled.

I rolled my eyes as Arav walked to get some tickets.

"So why exactly are we in Giza?" Lana asked

"No idea, ask the snake dude," Said Ramon. I slapped Ramon upside the head telling him to quieten down, noticing that we seemed to have grabbed some attention from the people around.

I was starting to find it slightly comforting to talk to Ramon- even though he was annoying as hell at times- It almost felt like I'd known him as my brother my entire life.

Arav walked over to us, handing us our tickets to enter.

"Come, there are some horse carriages, we have no time to waste," He replied as he directed us towards an area with a few horse carriages.

...

"So why are we visiting Giza?" Lana asked Arav as we walked towards one of the pyramids that he had pointed out.

"We need to visit someone," Arav replied, directing us to the main entrance of the pyramid.

"Like what, a mummified corpse of an ancient Pharaoh?" Lana asked, sarcasm laced in her voice.

"Maybe it's one of Arav's snake friends, I heard they mummified snakes too." Yeah... let's not hope that was the case... the encounter with the anaconda was weird enough.

There weren't many tourists in this pyramid so whatever spooky voodoo thing Arav was gonna do would not cause much panic.

We entered the pyramid as Arav turned on the torch on his phone, leading us down the dark slope. There were a few lights here and there so it wasn't entirely dark.

We entered one of the chambers as we saw two tourists inside. They smiled at us warmly as Arav gave a nod of acknowledgment.

The four of us walked around the chamber a little bit as Lana and I stared at the place in awe.

As the tourists left I saw Arav walk over to the stone sarcophagus.

I watched him reach into one of his pockets, pulling out a small pocket knife. He lightly pricked his finger, letting the blood drop into the sarcophagus.
