"How far?"

Ramon asked Arav as we walked through the streets.

"Five minutes,"

Arav muttered, his eyes fixated on the street full of people.

"You literally said that five minutes ago," Lana replied with a raised eyebrow.

"I was not expecting the streets to be blocked by people. I am not google maps," Arav retorted,

I watched Ramon's jaw drop open dramatically.

"Did you just make a joke?!" He asked, feigning shock.

Arav didn't reply to this and just kept walking.

I just rolled my eyes and concentrated on how to get through this crowd without being squished like a sandwich.

We made it through the crowd in silence.

I felt a hand grab my arm.

"Ramon don't worry, I won't get lost, I'm not a todd-" I gasped as I was pulled to the side.

A rough palm clamped over my mouth as the person tried to muffle me.

Keyword, tried.

I bit the person's palm. Gross, but necessary.

Raising my elbow I hit the person in the stomach as the nails of my other hand dug into the person's arm.

A male voice yelped behind me as he let go of me.

I moved away from the person, gaining my balance while taking a moment to take in the surroundings.

It was a dark alley, tall brick walls and dumpsters. I glanced up and inspected the rest of the alley.

Bad choice.

I felt another person reach out, yanking my hair.

"Checkmate at last, kiddo," A female voice spoke up with a French accent.

I felt the woman's breath against my neck as she held me tightly by the hair.

Note to self; Never go out in public with your hair loose.

Ever.

I heard a dark chuckle as I slightly turned my head to see another man and a woman walking into the alley.

They were dressed in black leather head to toe with hints of silver jewelry.

"Well well well, looks like we finally caught you, can't say it wasn't worth it though. finally after years of playing cat and mouse, it seems like the mouse fell for the trap," The man replied in a smug voice.

"Who are you?" I asked as I resisted the urge to slap that smug look off his face.

"You seriously didn't think they were the only ones looking for you, did y'a sweetheart," The woman next to him said in an accented voice.

She had a bored look on her face as she examined her nails.

"Whoever you are not getting anything from-" A hand covered my mouth muffling my voice.

No.

I wasn't giving up now.

I struggled against the woman who held me as she released my hair, effectively wrapping her arm around my neck in a chokehold.

"Take her, Camille," The man who I fought replied in an irritated voice.

"No, not now Sanjaya, people will notice, we need another way, Medea, call Narcissus, we might need his assistance,"
