"So... wait a second, let me get this straight, you apparently have the most precious blood in the world, Arav is half reptile and this guy who nearly tried to murder me is your brother? What the hell?!"

Lana stared at the three of us.

I nodded as I waited for Lana's reaction.

Arav and Ramon were sitting across us in two armchairs as Lana and I sat facing each other on the couch.

Suddenly she started laughing, "Gosh that's a good one. Pfft- I almost fell for it."

Once she calmed down she looked at us, waiting for us to laugh along.

"Wait- you're not kidding?" She asked as her facial expression changed into a more serious one.

We shook our heads.

She sighed, nodding, as she took in the information.

"Right.... Anything else that I'm missing in this story?" Lana asked

"And.... well.... the other thing is.... The disease that my mom caught, it wasn't any ordinary disease, it is the one that caused a plague in the world back then," I told her.

"But how? It hadn't been there for a long time, why appear now of all times?" Lana asked.

Arav spoke up before I could even open my mouth.

"We believe that it might have begun with that tunnel under your house, I believe that it must have been charmed so that it would only open to the blood shed by Alessandra. When cut her hand, the blood that bled might have somehow opened it. Since you and Alessandra were the last ones to be in that tunnel before it opened, it might have been the way it spread. But luckily it has been spreading at a really low rate, compared to the past, it is still low due to its weakened state, we might possibly have a few days, some weeks at most."

"So it's true that mom and dad got it because of me," Lana replied, her voice barely above a whisper as she looked at Arav.

He nodded hesitantly.

"Am I... missing something here?" I asked, looking between the two. Arav let out a sigh of exhaustion.

"Atalanta's parents were victims of the disease. We only found out a few hours ago, they are at the hospital."

"Oh my gosh, Lana," I exclaimed, looking at her with wide eyes.

"Yeah, I called an ambulance and was waiting for it when he popped up out of nowhere," Lana gestured to Arav.

I shot a death glare in Arav's direction who just ignored it.

Stalker much.

"Later I called you to tell you not to come and something happened and it cut the call," Lana replied slightly shaky

"Yeah, I'm so sorry about that, I kinda dropped my phone and it broke," I told her.

"It's fine," Lana replied, calmer than before the whole place was left in silence.

"So.... what now?" I asked as we sat there awkwardly.

"Well, we need to find a way to heal our parents. Fast." I replied.

"Hold up a sec, Alessa, you told me that your blood healed people nearly two millennia ago, can't we do it again?" Lana asked, looking at me.

Before I could give out a reply for that Arav cleared his throat as we all looked at him

"I am sorry for interrupting but that would not be possible, in her current state."

"What do you mean 'her current state'?" asked Lana.
