"What time is it? Is it 11 yet?" Lana asked in boredom, resting her head against the headrest of the SUV. Agni let out an exasperated sigh.

"Nearly 11," She replied.

Turning to me she asked, "How did Arav deal with these two? I'm surprised he didn't lose his cool with all the repeated questions."

I shrugged.

"Look." Ramon's sudden instruction quietened us as we looked at what he was looking at.

A number of people were gathered in the clearing.

We had stopped our SUV -which I had no idea how Ramon got a hold of- along with the others that were parked.

"Let's go, we might be able to blend in with the rest if we got in," Agni opened the door of the front passenger seat, getting out.

I got out of the car after Lana.

As we walked towards the group, I rested a hand on the gun that rested on the holster against my hip.

I felt like we were some sort of spies in a crime thriller movie, dressed in spandex and leather, wearing wigs and disguises.

My face felt itchy with the polyester strands of the blonde wig -that the others insisted I wore- brushed against my skin.

As we approached the group, they spread out into groups of five, walking into the forest leaving two men standing there, waiting for us.

I walked with Lana as Agni led us to where the two men were standing.

One of the men seemed to be in their mid 50s the other in their late 20s.

"Identification." The older man replied in an emotionless tone.

Agni took out the fake ID she had gotten access to, showing it to the man as we followed suit.

"New?" He asked as Agni gave a curt nod.

The man's eyes flashed with suspicion for a brief moment as he inspected Lana and I.

But it was gone as soon as it came, which made me wonder if it was ever there.

He turned to the younger man,"take them to the northern borders, second ring." He orders.

The other man nodded, turning around, switching on a flashlight, walking into the forest, leaving us to follow.

I felt eyes burning onto the back of my head as I walked after the others, uneasily.

Once we were a good distance away, the man turned to us.

"The team has been posted in their places, I was only able to get you into the second ring. The guards on the first ring are less in number than the second so we might be able to eliminate them easily. We'll post you through the comms when it's time. A Red Cross will mark your post, two for each." He replied in a slight Russian accent as he handed us some ear pieces.

"Thank you, Jason." Agni told the man as he nodded and walked away.

Putting on the ear pieces, Lana and I arrived at our post as Agni and Ramon walked ahead to their post.

"You okay?" I asked Lana who was glancing around.

"Yeah, I think. Y'know what this reminds me of?" She asked as I gave her a questioning look. "Remember when we were kids We'd play spies? It feels like that. It feels like we're some mercenaries or spies in a movie," Lana replied with a little laugh to which I joined.

"But in all seriousness this just feels so surreal. Like, It- it just feels weird to be here, to think that my family is guarding this place better than their own life. The fact that people were once killed here. It just feels a little freakish. Wait... Do you think they have ghosts here?" She asked to which I let out a laugh.
