Third person POV:

Saori was laying on the saddle staring at the cloudy skies thinking random thoughts.

"Those clouds look so soft don't they?" Katara wondered out loud. "Like you would just jump down and land on a big, soft, cottony heap."

"Maybe you should give it a try." Sokka smirked at his sister.

"Please don't." Saori advised, slightly shivering at the thought of what would happen if she let anyone of them die.

"I'll try it!" Aang excitedly answered, jumping off the bison.

"Oh Kami..." Saori whispered.

The siblings watched the airbender disappear into a cloud.

Aang opening his glider and flew back to the bison. Landing on Appa's saddle he used his bending to dry himself.

"Turns out clouds are just made of water."

"Who would've guessed." Saori sarcastically spoke, getting up, she pointed at a blackish-grey patch on the land.

"What is that?" Katara questioned.

"It's like a scar." Sokka said.

Landing on the area, the four of them jumped off the bison, Momo flying onto Saori's shoulder.

"It's so quiet." Sokka mentioned. "There is no life anywhere."

"Aang are you okay?" Katara asked worriedly.

Saori silently stood by as Katara comforted the airbender.

Spacing out of the conversation, the sorcerer blankly stared at the ashy ground.

Saori felt the lemur leave her shoulder as she adjusted her hat's veil.

The sorcerer watched Katara hit Aang and Sokka with acorns and explain how the forest would grow back.

The sorcerer spotted an old man in the distance when she heard Wan Shi Tong's voice.

"Follow the man, he shall guide you to an upset spirit."

Saori's POV:

Great.

Third person POV:

Sokka also noticed the old man walking towards them.

"Hey! Who are you?" Sokka interrogated.

"When I saw the flying bison, I thought it was impossible, but, those markings, are you the avatar, child?" The man ignored Sokka.

Aang turned to Katara as she nodded.

"My village desperately needs your help."

Saori's POV:

The old man guided us to a village.

Katara held onto my wrist dragging me behind her as I stared at the sun set.

I didn't pay attention to what the old man was saying until he used the word 'spirit monster'.

Ripping my eyes from the setting sun, I turned to the man. "What spirit?"

"For the last few days at sun set, a spirit monster comes and attacks our village. He is Hei Bai. The black and white spirit."

"Why is it attacking you?" Sokka asked.
