Backstory:
After both your parents died Scarlett and Colin adopted you when you where 15. Today it's your 16th birthday but it goes a little out of plan

Colin and scar: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
you just look at them when tears start to form in your eyes. You look at all the
presents and the cake and get out of your trance by a hug of scar. Scarlett pulls back out of the hug and looks at you
Scarlett: y/n? Are you crying?
You back off of her out of thoughts and dont know how to respond.
Colin: are you okay?
You run of crying to your room

Scarlett to Colin: what did we do?
Colin: maybe something happened with her at her birthday. At her old house.
Scarlett: probably, I feel so bad.
Colin: it's not our fault, r-right??

15 minutes later.
Scarlett heard Colin swearing and yelling from the office room and Scarlett comes running over.
Scarlett: Colin what going on?
Colin: shit, scar look at this.
He says holding the day of death of your biological mom above his finger,
Scarlett: oh no, her mom died giving birth to her. The poor thing, il go talk to her.

Scarlett walks upstairs to your room only to be met by a empty room, she walks over the whole house screaming your name but no response.
Scarlett: COLINN!'
Colin runs to Scarlett: what's wrong?
Scarlett: I-it's y/n, she's gone.
Colin: w-what??
Scarlett: she's not here
Colin: I think I have her location tracker.
Scarlett: your stalking her?
Colin: I'm overprotective, and for times like these it's great.

Colin looks at your location. And his face drops
Scarlett: what? Where is she?
Colin: a-at the graveyard.
Scarlett: oh y/n

They ride over to the graveyard and see you sitting on the ground on your knees crying. They want to look over to you.

Scarlett: maybe it's best if I go talk to her alone?
Colin: yeah your probably right

Scarlett slowly walks over to you crying. She puts a soft hand on your shoulder
You turn around and see Scarlett. You quickly get up and ran into her arms breaking down. Eventually you collapse and you are sitting in the middle of the path on the floor in Scarlett's arms.
You: it's m-my fault, I-It's al my fault
Scarlett: shhh it's okay honey, you didn't make a choice it was taken for you, shhh your okay. Just breathe,
You just cry for another 15 minutes when you have calmed down.
Scarlett: do you want to go home?
You nod.
Scarlett: let's go honey.
You walk over to the car when halfway trough you collapse on the floor weak and tired from al the crying.
Scarlett: Y/N!!, COLIN HELP!
Colin comes running over.
Colin: WHAT HAPPENED?
Scarlett: I don't know, she collapsed. She looks exhausted
Colin: let's get her home?
Colin picks you up and you drive home.

20 minutes later.
You wake up on the couch not know how you got there.
Scarlett: y/n? Are you okay?
You: m-my head hurts
Scarlett: honey your exhausted.
You: yeah.
Scarlett: is there any way we can turn your birthday in something positive?
You: I don't know, how is it normally celebrated?
Scarlett: you never celebrated it?
You: n-no, it's the day no one talks to me and gives me mean comments because what "I did". My family couldn't bare to celebrate me.
Scarlett strokes your head
Scarlett: well I happen to be very happy you are on this planet. I love you honey
You: I love you.
Scarlett: you know we still have presents?
You smile.

You opened the presents and ate cake and after a pretty good first birthday you get to bed. Scarlett knock on your door.
You: hey
Scarlett:hey, did you have a okay birthday?
You: it was the best one I've ever had
Scarlett: that's great honey.
You: you know what would make it better?
Scarlett: what??
You: can you stay with me?
Scarlett: always
Scarlett gets into bed next to you and you both fall asleep.

You stir and wake up at 4 am.
You: Scarlett?
Scarlett: go back to sleep hun.
You: okay
Scarlett: I love you honey
You: I love you mom
Scarlett smiles at your words and you fall asleep again
