"Nothing is hurting!"

It's been 1 week since the first time your knee was hurting. Your knee has been hurting but since the last 2 days it has gotten worse.

"Y/n come on! Where going to be late!" Scarlett yells while running back to you pulling you forward not noticing you wince with every step you take.

You finally arrive at set. You start filming and after 4 hours of working you get break. You and scar walk to the cafeteria. Scarlett goes to make herself some coffee. While the machine is making the coffee Scarlett watches you. You go to sit down and wince when your knee is forced to bent. You grab your phone to check it

"What's up?" Scarlett asks you while walking towards the couch with her coffee

"What do you mean?" You laugh
"You winced"
"No I didn't"
"Y/n"
"What?"
"Nothing is hurting?"
"N-no" you say clearly unsure.
Scarlett sighs
"Did you atleast tell anyone?" She asks
You stay quiet
"Y/n?"
"I haven't seen my parents for weeks, you know that. Who am I supposed to tell?"
"I thought you where living with your aunt"
"— I don't have a- oh my aunt, you right n-no I t-told her"
"You haven't been living alone for the past weeks right?!"
"I-"
"Y/n your 14!"
"I can't help it, where am I supposed to go?!"
She sighs
"If you won't tell me about what's bugging you, atleast tell someone okay? It's for you own safety"
"I-okay"

After 5 more minutes you go back to shooting. Scarlett keeps an eye on you and noticed you are in a lot of pain, more than before.

3 hours later
The pain in your knee has gone worse and worse trough out the day, and you are having a hard time standing, or walking. You are finally done shooting.

You where walking to your trailer with Scarlett close behind you wanting to talk to you.
You don't notice her. Halfway to the walk your knee caves in, and you are met by a terrible pain shooting trough your whole leg. You fall to the ground holding your leg crying.

"Y/n! Hey what's wrong, talk to me"
"Ahh s-Scarlett h-help ah" you cry.
"Shhh shh it's okay shhh, I'm going to call an ambulance"
You don't respond and just cry. You finally let into your exhaustion and lay flat on your back. You are sweating with tears rolling down your face. Scarlett sits on her knees besides you stroking your head.

"It's okay, it's all going to be okay honey" she says.

"D-don't call the ambulance" you stutter in between cries
"B-But"
"Please" you say looking at her
"C-can i atleast take care of you?"
You nod
"Let's get you to my trailer" she says
"Can you walk?" She asks
"I c-can't f-feel m-my leg" you say slightly panicked.

"Hey, hey slow down. It's okay. I'm going to carry you okay? It might hurt"
She tells you. She picks you up making your leg bent
"Ahh n-no ahhh stop" you scream but she continues to walk you to her trailer finally putting you down on the couch. She takes a pair of scissors
You directly look stressed
"I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to cut open your pants so I can take a look okay?"
You nod. She cuts your pants open to reveal a red purple swollen knee.

"Oh god y/n" she says to you crying.
"I'm sorry, I didn't tell you I'm sorry" you cry
"It's okay y/n, but we have to atleast get a doctor to set"
"I— okay. But no hospital. Okay?"
"But why honey?" She says stroking you head
"Scarlett, i- m-my mom is in the hospital. My dad left us. I'm the only one who can pay for her medical treatment. I barely get around. I can't pay this." You say stressed

"You should've told me sweetheart"
"I know" you say looking down
Scarlett cups your face
"We are going to the hospital, I'm going to lay for whatever is wrong, and then your going home with me okay? I can't have you living alone"
"B-"
"No buts honey, I care about you" she says and you smile.
"Now let's go, can you walk"
You try moving but a sharp pain shoots trough your leg
You flinch
"Okay, okay stop. Don't move okay? I'm going to Cary you." She says picking you up. You make some noise from the pain but try to hold it in.

You finally get into the car and after arrive at the hospital. Scarlett gets you a wheelchair and you get into the ER.

After some testing and x-rays you and Scarlett are waiting in a hospital.
She is stroking your head admiring your face while you look into her eyes

"S-Scarlett?" You say
"Yes?"
"M-my mom, isn't doing well. I don't think she's going to be alive for a long time. I think after that i will be send to an orphanage. A-and then I won't be able to work anymore." You say sadly.

"I won't let that happen honey, you know that. Your not alone. We're doing this together okay?"
You just shrug
"We are y/n, i promise"
"You have a family, you have a life besides this, besides Me"
"W-what if you are my family?" She asks you
"I don't- I don't understand"
"Honey, I want to adopt you" she tells you
Your eyes widen. Tears start to built up.
"R-really?" You ask
"Yes honey, really" she says also tearing up.
"I would be so grateful Scarlett" you say giving her a hug.

Not even 5 minutes later the doctor came in.
"Wel, we have the results. We found out you have a little crack in your knee, how long has you knee been hurting you?"

"About one week"
You say
"Do you remember falling? Recently"
"W-wel I did do some stunting, I fell ones on my knee. But- it was fine"
"These types of breaks usually start to hurt more a few hours after the fall, but you didn't feel anything?"
"I don't quit remember, I- I fell on my head to, that was hurting me more I guess" you say

"Y/n, why didn't you tell someone?" Scarlett asks you
You ignore her looking down.

"Are you still having headaches?"
"N-no not really"
"Is that a no? Or a not really?"
"Not really" you say
"Al right, we'll do a CT scan and we have a brace ready for your leg"
"Wait! How long will I be wearing it?"
"About a month"
"A MONTH?! No I'm not doing that!, I won't be able to do my movie!" You say stressed out.
"Y/n slow down, we will delay filming. They won't replace you. You just need to heal"
"Your mother is right"
"Oh she's not- n-never mind, but what about that c-c what scan?"
"The ct scan, we'll check if your brain is healing itself. Nothing major"

Your bed gets rolled away and You come back 2 hours looking exhausted. You've done your scan and your waiting for the results. But your fighting your sleep and it seems you are losing.

Scarlett strokes your head, feeling your cheeks being warm
"Are you feeling okay? You feel hot"
"I'm just tired, that happens when I get tired"
"It's okay, you can sleep. I'll wake you okay?" She says
You nod and close your eyes feeling Scarlett kiss your forehead
"Goodnight honey"

5 hours later you wake up
"Oh thank god your awake" you hear Scarlett say
"W-what do you mean?"
"You fel alseep? And when I tried to wake you up you wouldn't. The doctors tried everything but you wouldn't wake up" she says
"W-what?"
"But don't worry, your fine now. The ct scan came out clean. Your good to go" she says

You leave the hospital and arrive at Scarlett's house, you lay down at the couch falling asleep almost immediately.

Scarlett is doing some cleaning when she comes to check on you. You are still dead asleep so she crouches down to your level.

"Hey little one, I just wanted to say that its going to be okay. Your safe with me now. And after I adopt you its all going to get normal."
"I love you sweetheart"

"I-love you mama"
