"Alright again y/n thank you so much! Your a life saver!" Scarlett says to you
"No problem, have fun tonight!" You say waving Scarlett goodbye.

You have been babysitting rose and cosmo for 2,5 years now, and it always goes perfectly fine until this time.

About three ours after Scarlett left you smelled a burning smell hanging around, when you went to see where it came from, you saw flames coming from the kitchen, your ran back to the couch where you where watching TV with rose.

"Rose there is a fire, I need you to go outside okay? Im going to get your Brother. Whatever happens, stay outside you understand?" You ask the scared girl.

And watched her walk away making sure she actually got out save. You ran upstairs while calling 911. When you got into cosmos room you woke him up. You wanted to walk outside when you saw the staircase on fire.

A few seconds later you heard sirens.

Scarlett's POv

I got a call from rose,

"Rose? Is everything okay?"
I could hear her cry
"M-mommy, t-there is a fire. A-and-"

"Are you safe honey?"
"Y-yeah, but y/n went into the house getting cosmo but she never came back"
Rose says

"I'm coming baby, I love you" Scarlett says

She arrived at scene and went to a fireman.

"M-my son is stil inside, with another girl" she tells them

"Shhh don't cry cosmo, your okay, we're going to be safe okay?" You grab a blanket. Dump it in water
"I need you to wrap yourself in this okay?" You say and he does. You lift him up and trough all the pain you walk through the fire, the only this you can think about is that he is safe.

As Scarlett watches her house burn down she sees a figure. When she looks close she sees you with her son in your arms.

When your finally outside you put him down safely before collapsing on the floor.
The last thing you remember is people shouting
"Get the oxygen!" Before everything goes silent.

You wake up in a white room feeling sore.
You look around you and see Scarlett sitting next to you

"S-sc-" you stutter feeling pain everywhere
"Shhh, don't talk okay? Your hurt, your okay tho okay?" She says softly
"C-c-  c-cosmo?" You stutter again being stubborn

"He is perfectly fine honey, no burns, nothing. That wet blanket saved his life, you saved his live. I'm so thankful honey" she says

"H-hurts" you say in pain
"I know, I'm sorry" she says

There is a silence for a while..

"Y/n honey, i am so sorry for what happened to you, I don't know what to do. I mean you sacrificed yourself for my kids." Scarlett says starting to cry.
With that the police came in.

"Y/n y/l/n we would like to ask some questions"

You looked at them.

"We tried contacting your guardians, we couldn't find any, would you care to explain?" They ask kinda brutal
You look at Scarlett stressed

"Please, give her a break" she says protective
"Miss Johansson, I'm sorry but right now we need answers, they're could be a potential case of murder here."

"W-what?"

"Y/n" the police man continued.
"M-my dad, he left a long time ago" you say in pain.
"Your mom?"

"She- I-"
You start stressing
"Can we please do this another time!" Scarlett says now kinda mad.
"I-it's okay s-scar, m-my mom s-started drinking when he left us, so 2 years ago I ran away."
"Was there ever any form you of abuse?"
You nod
"E-e-every d-day"
"Alright, call child services" one police man told the other.
"Wait what's going to happen to her?" Scarlett asks
"Well since she has no legal guarding she wil be put in an orphanage until she's 18"
"You can't just do that" scar argues.

"Well what's you other option"
"I- il take her" Scarlett Burts out
"N-no please, you don't want to i swear" you say

"Y/n please, I've know you since you where 13"
"No- no you don't. Really please trust me" you begged but scar didn't give in

"My decision is final, where can I sign forms?" She asks

After a few hours everything is all planned. Your also aloud to go home now and now your driving home.

You haven't said a word since the adoption.

"Y/n, talk to me" scar says
"I- I don't want this. I don't want you to care about me. I don't want to bother you, I don't want to be your burden."

You say
"Honey, you are not a burden" scar responds

"N-no you don't understand, I am. I have a lot of problems, that need attention." You respond

"I promise you, I will keep you safe, I will love you and take care of you okay? Just- don't ever think I will think of you like a burden. I won't. Even if we fight every day. I will always love you okay?"

At this point you start to cry, since you haven't belt love like this for a long time

"Thank you, Truly" you respond, receiving a smile and a small kiss on your forehead
