Chapter 37 - What a Geek

Y/n's POV

For weeks, I've been working my butt off, recess and lunch, to turn in all my assignments with enough points to raise my failing marks.

in all honesty.. I actually do my assignments at home but never submit them... It's just a bother for me

Prom was only two weeks away. Now, I'm not usually the kind to attend geeky parties, but this is my final year at this Academy. I skipped all the social activities in all my years, simply because i didn't feel like it, but now.. I guess this time I should have fun.

Recently, Reiju has started visiting my home, and I've grown distant from Hancock as well...

Though, me and Hancock would call late in the night just to hear each others voice

cheesy but hey.. hearing her voice actually makes me sleep — it could even fight off my insomnia

I don't know if I should bring in a companion for Prom night. Hell, I don't even know what to wear. Though, I'm NOT wearing a dress, it's just not me!!

Finals was happening this week. I got prepared and studied like hell. I don't even remember the last time I had left my room besides staying up to study

Like what Hancock said, this finals for 'brats' like myself would be graded differently than these ordinary seniors

but i trust myself.. i hope

I was studying in my room when I hear a knock from my door

"Mom. I'm studying. I'll eat later," I said continuing my study

"You have a guest y/n."

I looked at the door, wondering who could it be. It must be Reiju again

"Let her come in then," I murmured as I returned to my books.

"Reiju, what brings you back here?"

Her footsteps behind me stopped as I felt her kneel behind me

"Wrong," she whispers from my ear that startled me

I turned around faster than that second hand in a clock

"H-HANCOCK???" I said in a really surprised tone

"Missed me?" she says in a sarcastic tone

"Of course.. um not.. really," I responded with the same tone

she slightly smiled and sat beside me

"So.. what brings you here.." I asked

"I've been thinking for this for a long time and.. I'm going to help you pass," she says with a relieved tone

"Soo.. you're gonna help me cheat?"

"Of course not you idiot," she says flicking my forehead

"We're gonna do it like old times. Torture you." she says with a devilish tone

she definitely looked scary just by saying that..

As I thought, Hancock didn't let me take any breaks. She asked me questions that were similar for the finals I'll be taking and they were honestly hard

We did have lunch break when my mom brought in katsu to my room

Then after, we sort of got distracted and started watching an actual scary movie in the dark!!

my ground was carpet like and my room was like the attic. But it was comfortable, we had all the space we needed.....

We were cuddled up in my blanket. It was probably 10PM already
