Graduation doesn't start until 11 .. I wonder .. If i have time ..

"Yo. Y/n, get your head out of the gutter, you're up on the next round" our coach said out loud

I'm fighting the big boss tonight .. and all these practice rounds are killing me slowly. i'm getting tired of this.

cant believe i'm saying this but i miss my old life .. where i don't have to fight everyday

Empress POV:

I've had it with these people. I had to arrive at the Academy so early only to set up for the students' graduation. The student's name will be called out by Garp to claim their diploma, and some will even receive rewards because they were honor students. Such tryhards

I just have to sit back and pretend to enjoy each and every name calling, forcing myself to smile and applaud is really annoying

Parents and relatives will be here so I suppose it's appropriate to put on a smile for their children's recognition

"So what the hell are you doing here, Vinsmoke?! I don't recall you working here"

"Aw don't be like that Empress. I'm just here to see if y/n ever shows up" she smiled

God ever since that day we met up with Y/n, she's been nothing but being a nuisance around me. Though, i can put up with her more than her irritating love sick brother

"Don't count your hopes up. She's not coming"

"How can you say that?"

"She made her choice," i mumbled. "And she chose that awful place"

"Is that why you're being extra grumpy today Empress?" she chuckled

"No. It is due to your presence. I had a poor start to my day, don't make it worse"

"C'mon.. aren't we acquaintances now?"

"We're so far from that. I don't even know you, you don't know me. End of discussion"

"Such cold words. I'll be out of your hair then" she say leaving. "But i'll be back when it's time"

I frowned at what she said.

"Ah Empress! Would you mind passing out the honor stoles afterward?"

"No" i plainly responded .

"Uh.. well you need to do something to help all of us out here. We all have our parts"

"I am helping" i say, "I'm sitting down and giving everyone a free look at me"

the woman slowly rolled her eyes, "How very nice, but could you actually do something physical?"

"Ugh fine, what do you want me to do?"

"Check the lists of students receiving diplomas today"

"I assumed one of you had already carried out that deed?"

"Yes, but Mr. Yuu misplaced the copy, .."

"fine " i groaned before standing up

I returned to my office to review the names that had passed on my computer.

When y/n's name appeared, I found myself looking at it for a moment.

.. i doubt she'd come ..

but .. i'd still like it if she does come by

she did work hard for this .. it's only right to show to everyone what she've become of.

i printed the copy and handed it over to the woman

I decided to stay in my office for the time being and let the others finish planning this graduation.

at least they'll all be having fun tonight. Just a week more and i'm out of this country.

It's not that i'll be leaving for good, i'll just be there for roughly 5 years, give or take, and i'll be back here again

i do adore this country but i also hate the people here but .. i'm glad i got to meet y/n here

If I could grant one last wish .. it would be to properly say goodbye to y/n..

geez.. all i've been talking about is y/n.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I'm actually.. pretty.. confidently.. maybe.. infatuated with that brat. There isn't anyone I.. care about more than her.

I have no experience with love, but I am aware of it when it exists. Consider the change from me liking Luffy and him not reciprocating my feelings to someone actually liking me back, but why is it so.. different?

there's still plenty of time before the graduation began, I groused as I collapsed into my couch to take a nap.

Y/N's POV

i took a break in our locker room. I can't believe that girl actually hit me in the lip. I'm looking at myself in the mirror and i looked like crud. Blood was still trickling from the cut on my lip.

i turned on my phone for the first time ever and a bunch of notifications popped up. But none from .. the Empress..

"You realize you're going to get in trouble if the coach catches you taking a break?" this girl said, as she was fixing her hair up

"He can suck it up. I'm exhausted" I reply and stow my phone away in my locker.

it was already 9Am. I want to go to my graduation but .. what my members said to me .. about making this my first priority has really clouded my judgment. Why should I prioritize this fight over everything else?? They need something from me and i'm being told what to do and what not to do?

"Tell the coach I won't be back till afternoon if he comes looking for me. "

"Whatever" she answers

i took the train and took my parents a visit

I know it's bad of me to appear out of nowhere after leaving my home.. and i have no excuse of it

but i do miss them

i knocked on our front door, hoping that they're gone to work

but to my surprise

Reiju was the one behind the door

"Re.. ju?"

"Knew you would show up" she smiled. "Your parents are in the kitchen"

i smiled slightly and entered in our house

I walked slowly towards the kitchen and once they saw me

they rushed towards me and hugged my tightly

i couldn't say anything but slowly hugging them back

"Where have you been dear" my mom asked, tears rolling down her cheeks . "We were worried sick"

"I'm sorry I just left like that.. without telling you guys. I just .. needed space for myself.."

"If you wanted space, you could have just locked yourself in the room rather than leaving us for almost a month" My dad jokingly said, as he hugged us both

"Reiju here, had been coming here often, just to.. check up on us" Mom said

"Yeah. So what made you come back here y/n?" Reiju murmured, coming from behind me

"... for my graduation.. of course"

Instead of laughing in my face, they all cast a warm smile at me.

"Well then.. let's get you ready up" mom smiled
