Ace heaved himself out the car as Eyeball was right by his side.

"We're gonna fix this." He heard his best friend mumble as he attempted to help Ace along the road.

A scream was heard as Ace instantly felt a surge of energy flow through him. It was a woman's scream.

"Ace..." Eyeball mumbled as he looked up.

Running towards them he saw Vivian suddenly drop to her knees.

Ace pushed Eyeball off as he rushed over to her. His arms locked around her as hers wrapped around his neck.

Eyeball was by his side and helped Vivian stand as she stared up at him. Her eyes met Ace's and she quickly pushed herself off him, her arm instinctively reaching out for Eyeball.

Eyeball wrapped an arm around her waist as he held her up and close to him. He saw the look on Ace's face as he stumbled back but couldn't tear his eyes from the girl.

"What a fucking surprise!"

The cobras looked up as they saw they were slowly being surrounded.

"You know I knew you had bad taste in guys but this is really dropping the bar." Zach taunted as his eyes glanced over Ace and Eyeball.

"Someone's not looking so good." He commented as he took in Ace's appearance.

"Well Vivian? Wanna see your two favourites fight it out?" He asked with a laugh as the others encouraged him.

Ace glared up at him as he struggled to find air to breathe. Hearing Vivian scream had given him a strength he hadn't felt before but the look in her eyes as she pushed him away and reached out for Eyeball crushed him.

His rib cage was constricting around his heart and lungs as they worked overtime.

"You know she wanted me back right?" Zach asked as he walked over to Ace slowly, no fear showed in his face as he took in the cobra's defeated look.

"I just wanted you to know that." He said as he placed a hand on Ace's shoulder.

"After everything, she still chose me." He whispered as he leant closer.

"Does that hurt Merrill?" He stared at Ace's head hanging.

"No." Ace snapped as he looked up at Zach slowly. "But this will."

In a heartbeat Ace's fist crashed into Zach's chest. Vivian screamed as she clung to Eyeball, he had to physically hold her back as he watched Ace seal his fate.

They dove on Ace like a pack of hungry lions devouring their prey. Ace didn't stand a chance.

Vivian fought against Eyeball's grip as he clenched up inside. Ace didn't stand a chance.

"Let me fucking go!" She screamed as she turned and glared at Eyeball.

He stared down into her eyes as he saw the same look he had seen in Ace's. That secret hidden feeling.

Eyeball nodded slowly as he let her go and the pair soon dove in.

Of course it didn't take long for a neighbour to call the police.

Yet because of who each person was, it was Ace, Eyeball and Vivian being cuffed and stuffed into the back of the police cars.

Each in a separate car as they uttered no words.

Each hung their head as they felt the blood pouring from their faces.

Each felt defeated.

Eyeball watched as Ace and Vivian's head remained hung as they were escorted into the station.

Neither dared look at the other. Ace knew if he looked at her, he would break. Vivian knew if she looked at him, she would break.

Their cuffs were removed as their cells were locked and they were left alone.

Eyeball watched as Vivian lay down on the cot and faced away from Ace's cell opposite and his cell next to Ace's.

He heard shuffling in the next cell over as he figured Ace was laying down also, he didn't have to guess to know Ace was facing away from her.

"John's okay you know?" Eyeball mumbled as he walked over to his bars and rested his arms through them, looking straight at Vivian.

"He's back at Ace's with your brother. So he's safe."

Eyeball saw Vivian nod slowly as she remained facing away. He sighed as he sat down and ran a hand through his hair.

"You know Ace didn't mean what happened?" Eyeball asked her, he knew these two weren't going to talk without a little nudge. And he was good at nudges.

"Oh yeah?" Vivian snapped as she turned to face him, storming over to her cell bars. "And what about what he said?!" She snapped.

"I don't fucking remember what I said!" Ace piped up as he copied her movements, getting up and storming over to his bars.

"Oh well that makes it okay!" Vivian shouted sarcastically.

"It means I don't fucking know what I did or said!"

"Well what about what you're fucking saying now?!"

Ace waved his hands about. "What about what I'm saying?!" He snapped at her.

"Have you fucking thought of saying sorry?!" She scoffed out.

Ace replied with his own scoff. "Oh right. My fucking bad." He snapped back. "Sorry for coming to get you from that dickhead."

"Don't you mean sorry for getting me locked up again!"

"You jumped in that fight too!"

"You're fucking welcome!" Vivian snapped back, her hand waving before it returned to clutching the bar tight.

"I didn't need your fucking help!" Ace snapped as he glared at her.

"Tell that to your face!" She waved her arm through the bars at him. "You look just as fucked as I do!"

"You're the fucked one! Going back to him! What kind of fucking genius are you?!" He exclaimed, waving his arms at her through the bars.

"I want the best life for my fucking son! Because I know I can't give it to him living with you!"

"So don't fucking live with me!"

"Fine!"

"Fine!"

"Fuck you Ace."

"Bite me bitch."

"Don't tempt me cobra."

Silence fell on the cells as an officer came in, having heard the shouts. Eyeball simply stood up and shook his head.

"Don't worry, they just got some stuff to sort out." He mumbled.

The officer grumbled as he shook head, turning to leave.

"Bloody match made in cell heaven." He mumbled as he walked out, letting the door shut behind him.

"You guys done?" Eyeball asked as he leant forward on his cell bars and looked between Ace and Vivian, their death glares firing straight at each other.

"Oh don't worry." Vivian mumbled. "We're done alright."

And with that she moved away to the cot and lay back down. Eyeball heard a crash from Ace's cell as he guessed his friend had just kicked the bed before crashing down himself.

Eyeball sighed as he sat down and ran a hand through his hair.

"At least you talked it out." He said trying to force a laugh.

"Shut up Eyeball." Ace and Vivian's voice spoke in sync as Eyeball couldn't help but smile.

That feeling was still there, it just may take more than a nudge to see that.
