Vivian struggled over the next week, officers coming and going, trying to keep her updated with everything. They had told her that Zach had been arrested and the uproar was huge.

It hadn't been done before and was, as expected, the talk of both towns. Everyone was being forced to make statements and the whole thing was becoming the biggest drama ever known.

Yet what really shocked people was the fact they were no longer seeing Ace terrorising them. They were seeing Ace constantly carrying a small child that seemed to never settle for anyone but him.

It took just over 3 months for the decision to be made and things to finally begin to settle down. The entire time Vivian had spent refusing to leave the house, even having days she refused to leave the room.

Ace and the others all tried their hardest to look after John, while getting her to come out and face the world. It didn't work. Ace would even bring John in to see her but she couldn't relax. He noticed she was returning to the harsh cold girl he'd first met in the prison cell opposite him.

"Viv there's a letter here for you." He grumbled as he leant against her bedroom door.

She had grown annoyed with him and the others constantly coming in so she began to push the new chest of drawers Alex had given her, against the door so they couldn't open it.

"I don't want it."

He heard her snap back from behind the door. Ace groaned out.

"Will you just fucking come out?! Or have you forgotten your son is downstairs being hounded by his fucking arsehole uncles!"

"I'm fine in there, thanks for the offer though!" She snapped back sarcastically.

Ace growled. "I'm gonna fucking open this letter if you don't!"

"That's my fucking mail!"

"So come out and get it!" Ace snapped back through the door.

Vivian sighed as she remained seated on the bed. Her eyes fell on the locket in her hands, she glanced over at the collection of photos she had been flicking through. Some of Ace's old stuff was still boxed up in one corner of the room and curiosity had gotten the better of her.

The locket was open as she saw the picture that had replaced John's, a picture of her. Beside it was now a new picture. Ace.

Quickly closing it back up she re-clipped it around her neck, letting it hang loosely. Though her and Ace hadn't even touched, barely even looked at her since that day they took Zach away, she couldn't wipe him from her mind. Whenever she slept he was in her dreams, then when she woke he was there again.

"Vivvy baby..."

She looked up at the door currently being blocked. A small smile came to her face, she hadn't heard that name in so long.

"Come on, open the door. You can take this letter and then shut the door again if you want? Just open it."

Vivian scoffed slightly, no way would he actually let her shut it after she opened it. She wasn't stupid.

"Open it." She shouted back.

"What?"

"Open the fucking letter and read it to me!" She ordered as she heard him grumble behind the door.

A few seconds passed as she was growing impatient.

"What is it?" She asked out.

Silence again.

Slowly Vivian got off the bed and edged herself closer to the door.

"Ace?"

Silence.
