The Mafia queen hummed before she ended the call. Carelessly tossing the phone to the backseat, she looked at the side mirror and watched the others leave.
They could manage to leave without getting hurt despite the flying bullets because all of the cars are bulletproof.
The president is one of the obstacles that keeps on making her business and transactions unsuccessful.
Scarlett was sure that the bastard will attack her today because she'll export illegal drugs and weapons.
The leader of the country is always updated about her business deals and Scarlett is already used to his sudden attacks everytime she export an illegal product. But she didn't expect that the president himself will attack her this time.
Oftentimes, police officers or soldiers would stop her from doing her dark business but now, it surprises her that the president is with them.
As I mentioned, she's already used to the old man's attacks and of course she's always ready.
Starting the engine, Scarlett grabbed the Uzi she put at the back of her seat, slightly startling Kaiden.
"Wear you seatbelt."
The introvert boy immediately did what the mafia told him to do and with rather trembling arms, he hugged the cat against his chest, scared eyes looking straight at the police cars and the cops that are standing in front of the vehicles, different kinds of guns in their hands.
Loud noises from the weapons, passersby's deafening horrified screams, and the sharp sounds everytime the windows of the car and the bullets collide are resonating throughout the place.
"You'll regret this, you old bastard," Scarlett whispered with her dangerous cold voice and opened the window beside her.
Smirking wickedly, she gripped the steering wheel and averted her gaze to Kaiden who is already looking at her with his innocent, scared doe eyes, still hugging the stray cat against his chest.
The mafia queen snorted and looked at the police officers that are showering them with bullets. Her villainous smirk widened more when she saw the president going out of the vam behind the police cars, he was wearing bulletproof vest and an ArmaLite in his hand.
"This is exciting."
"D-Do fighting w-with policemen e-excites you?"
The mafia queen took a glimpse of the terrified boy sitting beside her with her piercing and threathening eyes, causing Kaiden to look on the cat between his arms with his nervous eyes, scolding himself for asking the mafia.
"Yes. Now, shut up because killing you excites me."
The introvert boy pursed his lips tightly, slightly pressing himself against the door of the car.
Scarlett saw the action in her peripheral vision and that made her smirk become more wide and nefarious.
"Exporting illegally again?!"
President Robert Hernandez laughed after he spoke. He raised his gun and pointed it at the mafia queen's car that is parked in front of the famous Alinsky nightclub.
"I won't let you succeed now! You managed to escape but now anymore! I won't let you escape now, nor your companions! Other cops are after them!"
