Scarlett's Mistake

Chapter 40

"Babe! Good morning! What's our breakfast?"

Scarlett narrowed her eyes, then she raises her deadly gaze to her young butler who smirked at her and mouthed 'Kaiden', causing the mafia queen to look at the introvert boy who was fying bacons but he stopped and took a glimpse of them.

The mafia queen's heart beat faster than usual when she saw jealousy and pain in the boy's face but it immediately vanished as he went back in cooking their breakfast.

Maximo, on the other hand, smirked widely because he saw that hurt expression, too. He mentally laughed wickedly and took a piece of croissant from the small basket that was fortunately placed in front of his boss, therefore he took the chance to bend down and placed a soft noisy kiss on the emotionless mafia's forehead for Kaiden to hear it.

The naughty butler immediately lowered his face until his and Scarlett's lips were just an inch away from each other because he saw Kaiden turning towards their direction and his smirk widened even more when he heard the boy grabbing a plate sulkily.

Everyone saw the action and Louie, who's naughty as Maximo laughed teasingly and played along.

"Coldy! Is it yummy? How's the kiss? Ah, I wish I have someone to kiss, too, every mor----woah!"

The sniper almost fell off his seat when Kaiden suddenly appeared beside him and put the plate of bacons in front of him rather angrily, but instead of being annoyed by the introvert boy, he instead laughed mentally and winked at the butler who winked back at him and took a bite on his croissant.

Everyone watched Kaiden take the white apron off and put it on the kitchen island, then he strode out of the kitchen with heart beating so fast and confusion invading his system.

W-Why am I a-acting like this? W-Why does my heart is a-aching?

He shaked his head.

He ignored his heart and made his way to the servant's room, which where he's staying right now.

Scarlett told him to use one of the guest room of the villa but the boy didn't agree with than and opted to stay in the huge, spacious, and empty room where he used to stay in when he was working there.

When he arrived in the same bed he used to sleep on, he saw black suit, black pants, white dress shirt, black tie and black shining shoes lying on the bed neatly.

It'll be his everyday clothes from now on since aside from being the mafias' cook, he is also Scarlett's assistant now and he'll start today.

Kaiden heaved a sigh and took the clothes, then he went to the room's bathroom to wear those.

Scarlett, on the other hand, snorted and glared at her young butler who just raised his both hands, as if surrendering, and sat beside Louie. The both dickheads chuckled teasingly and the hacker and the assassin joined them.

Jaxon, who was sitting near Scarlett, on the other hand, leaned closer to his boss and whispered to her;

"Keiko's ready. Meet us in the lone nightclub in the countryside. 8 pm."

The mafia queen nodded and took a sip from her glass. She took a glimpse of Austin who's still laughing with the others, then she put her glass onto the table and leaned her back against the backrest of her chair.

"When is the flight, Hades? Did you find out?" she asked coldly, causing everyone to stop and looked at her.

The hacker cleared his throat and smirked.

"Of course. Tomorrow's her flight to Thailand. 10 am," he answered and took a piece of bacon that Kaiden cooked and he just noticed that it was almost burnt but he still ate it with a teasing smirk on his lips.
