Scarlett's Mistake

Chapter 22

"Louie?! LOUIE!"

Kaiden, who were cooking their dinner, slightly jumped after he heard the mafia queen's mad cold voice from the lounge area.

She's already here. Where did she even go? He thought as he stirred for a moment the menudo he is currently cooking before he lowered the temperature of the stove so that the food wouldn't be burned.

The introvert boy turned around and ran but he just had three steps when he collided with the Scarlett who, he didn't notice, were already standing behind him with her emotionless face and damgerous cold eyes staring at his muscular back and shoulders.

His eyes widened when they lost their balance and plummeted into the floor with a loud, harsh thud. The back of the mafia queen's head bumped onto the marble-tiled floor, which caused the introvert boy to look at her with widened, worried doe eyes.

Scarlett, on the other hand, ignored the pain in her head as their position completely invaded her mind.

He's on top of her. She's under him. She can feel his muscular front against hers. Scarlett can also fvcking feel his hot natural mint-scented breath against her face since Kaiden's lips are slightly agape. Their faces are so close to each other.

After their awkward position, the introvert boy's eyes wholly invaded the mafia queen's mind.

His eyes. His innocent doe eyes. Those black eyes that are....alluring. They are fascinating....perfectly enchanting.

Scarlett find his eyes so alluring to the point that she couldn't look away from those innocent orbs that seems like staring right at her soul. She feels like those eyes that are looking right at hers are now scrutinizing her dark soul and searching for every dark secrets that she hid in the deepest depths of her heart. She feels like she's being revealed in front of those captivating eyes.

Kaiden, on the other hand, kept staring at the mafia queen's almond brown eyes that are still cold and dangerous, and for the first time, he noticed that she wasn't wearing any makeups but....but she's still.....pretty. She's pretty, way more prettier than those girls he saw with makeups on their faces.

His heart. It's beating so fast with an unidentified feeling. He don't know.

They both don't know what's happening. Their minds couldn't even absorb what's happening. They are just....stuck. Stuck in each other's eyes. Everything is now ignored. They just stayed like that. Staring at each other's orbs with those feelings they couldn't decipher and are now spreading across their systems.

"Coldy, I heard your sho----fvck!"

The sniper grabbed Hades who was about to walk in the kitchen and hid behind the wall that was separating the kitchen from the lounge area. He ducked down as if there was an enemy he has to hide from and pulled the irritated hacker down to his level by grabbing the hem of his dark blue t-shirt.

"Fvck! Look! Look!" Louie whisper-shouted and pointed a finger at the people that are on the floor beside the kitchen island, a mischievous smirk made its way to his lips as Hades narrowed his eyes and looked at the direction that the snieer were pointing at and he gaped when he saw his boss' and Kaiden's position.

"Damn! What's happening?" Hades asked absentmindedly as he kept staring at the two while peeking behind the wall with the sniper beside him.

"I think they're making my nephew," the sniper whispered and that caused the hacker to look at him right away and smack the back of his head.

"No! It should be my 'niece', okay? Don't argue with me!" Hades whispered at his friend as Louie snorted and glared at him.

"No! It should be a boy, you bastard!"
