Scarlett's Mistake

Chapter 37

"Are you expecting someone?" Louie asked and grimaced when the wound on the corner of his lips suddenly stung as he spoke.

Two soft knocks resonated throughout the place again.

"No."

All of them looked at each other for a second before Scarlett's butler, Maximo, pulled himself up and straightened the crumpled lapels of his black luxurious and new suit.

"Let me open it," he uttered and strode towards the main doors of the villa.

Everyone gazed at the door seriously and threateningly while waiting for it to reveal the person who's been softly knocking on the door.

The young butler, once he reached the doors, casually opened it and the person who's nervously standing upon the marble threshold made him smirk mischievously as the other mafias inside, except Jaxon and Scarlett, gasped when they saw the people outside, standing with reluctant smiles on their lips.

"Oh, wow, look who's here," Maximo uttered before he chuckled lowly.

Scarlett's fvcking Pikachu is really a freaking sight.

He was about to ask Kaiden what is he doing there but a silly idea popped inside the butler's mind and it made him mentally laugh.

Maximo cleared his throat and wore the most serious look he could put on his almost perfect face.

"Who are you?" he dangerously asked and mentally laughed more when he saw how the introvert boy shivered and bow his head down, Kaiden started to tremble and fidget.

"I-I'm Kaiden. U-Uhm, c-can I talk to M-Miss Scarlett, p-please?"

Fvck. He's really a fvcking baby that we have to take care of.

"Alright..." The butler turned to his other mafias while suppressing an evil smirk. "Scarlett, baby, someone wants to talk to you."

Everyone, except Jaxon who didn't give a fvck and Scarlett who glared at her butler, gasped and gaped at him. Maximo just winked at them and gave them a meaningful look, which they immediately got.

Hades and Austin smirked as Louie's gaze fell onto the girl beside Kaiden and she was unexpectedly looking at him, too, with her regretful and pleading somewhat teary eyes.

Louie admit it, he's mad at the doctor because of her dickhead father but his love for her is greater than his hate. He's fvcking in love with her.

"B-Baby? R-Really? You're her f-father?"

Everyone averted their gazes to Kaiden who doesn't look innocent anymore and they were all surprised and amused at the same time when they heard bitterness, sarcasm and pain in his innocent low voice. He had small smile on his lips, too, but it didn't reach his eyes. Those doe orbs were emitting pain and hate...for the butler.

Kaiden suddenly felt a sudden urge to punch the smirking man in front of him and already looking at his with teasing look on his face but of couse he didn't did that because his grandma told him not to hurt other people with just superficial reason.

He knew it. Hew knew that freaking 'baby' is an endearment but he played innocent for the sake of his aching heart. He also hoping that the man will just say he's Scarlett's father even though it seems so impossible. He's fvcking hoping! Hoping that the mafia queen still like him.

S-She don't like you a-anymore. Y-You hurt her.

The introvert boy was still confused why it suddenly became important but he opted to ignore it and keeps on innocently smiling at everyone.
