As you all know, my motivation to write has gotten so low recently. I tried going back to Weirdos, a material that I’m actually familiar with, in hopes of at least getting back some of my groove. Well, at least I found it really enjoyable to write about their lives as adults. Is it enough to reignite my passion? I can’t really tell.
Still, no worries. I’m writing more episodes for Love Me or Hate Me, and I have already written the beginnings of the second season of The Magians of Planet Parallelia. Hopefully, I can finish them in the soonest possible time.
As always, please support Smiling_Ace's The Crimson Host. The story is still ongoing, so to those of you craving for more Weirdoverse content, search the username and start reading.
Thank you so much. I hope you enjoyed reading this short story.

“Dude, you had one job. One job.”
Tony couldn’t help but vent out his frustration when he learned about what happened to Ike’s planned date with RB over the past weekend. They had a lot of work to do in the farm, and by the time Ike finally had some time to spend with RB, it’s already Sunday evening. He went back to the capital city at noon of the following day without even having any serious talk with RB about the NMLEA’s offer.
“Of course, we can’t really blame you for arriving late because of that villain incident, but still, it’s kind of frustrating that you two weren’t able to talk about your issues,” Phoebe added.
Ike just stared blankly at the empty space in front of him and completely ignored his food. RB was his usual self while they were in the farm, and it’s not like he got mad at him. Still, Ike hasn’t forgotten the expression on RB’s face on the night when they were supposed to have a date. It’s been bugging him until today.
Teima tapped Ike’s shoulder gently. “I suggest you take a leave from work,” he said.
“I can’t do that!” Ike replied indignantly.
The Foreshadowing Weirdo chuckled lightly. “You reacted as if I suggested you to resign. Just take a few days off. Spend the free time with RB. Talk to him about your issues. Besides, you’ve done a lot of heavy work for the agency ever since you started working here. It’s about time that they pay you back for your service. I’m sure Sir Romeus won’t mind giving you a longer break. You deserve it.”
“And if giving you a break means a chance of convincing RB to finally work here, I’m sure the entire agency will even give you a one-week vacation in some exclusive, five-star resort island. Sir Romeus will see the benefit in letting you talk to RB about their desire to hire him,” Cezka added.
Ike just stared at them flatly. “You guys are being silly.”
“What other choice do you have? I’m pretty sure our bosses will give us another series of difficult missions in the near future. You won’t have another chance to talk to RB again. If you leave your little misunderstanding unresolved, it could lead to a bigger problem down the road,” Tony said.
“Your mental health will affect your work, too,” Teima added. “It’s dangerous to face a difficult mission when you’ve got something weighing you down. If, heavens forbid, something bad happened to you, we’re not the only ones who’ll be affected. Your family, especially RB, will be devastated the most.”
