Emerald School of Magic, the morning after the rescue mission and the villain attack on the Woodland Mansion. . .

"How on Earth did they escape you when you had all the element of surprise in the world when you attacked them?"

Serafina's voice was perfectly calm and flat, but it was cold enough to make even the toughest of villains in the room fidget uncomfortably on their spots. Despite having her back on them, none of the villains dared to look at Serafina who seemed to be gazing absentmindedly at the school grounds below them.

Earlier, the leader of the Legion of Death called some of the members of her inner circle in the head's office. As expected, she wasn't happy with the events that have transpired last night. The villains were supposed to let Rubio get rescued in order to lead them to the rebellion's hideout and capture their members. Unfortunately, only the first part of their plan was realized.

"If you have nothing else to say then you all can leave this room. I want you to think long and hard about your actions. Just await for further instructions from me," Serafina said after several moments of silence.

Deeply relieved that they've been dismissed, all the villains left the office except for Jaeron, Fabio, and Tyrone. As the departing villains disappeared into thin air to materialize in the empty circular room below, Serafina took a deep breath as if to collect herself and her thoughts.

"We were able to kill a lot of their people, especially Ike's classmates and friends. They've all scattered in the forest. Some of our men stayed behind to search for them," Jaeron said.

"If you want to defeat the Purgers in their playground, you have to send an army of fighters to subdue them. Look what they did to your men last night, Jaeron. I strongly suggest that you call your men back because they'll only fall in the hands of the Purgers," Serafina replied flatly.

"They could be hiding in the other camps, my lady," Fabio added. "I may not know about the locations of the other camps but—"

"But they've surely reestablished their defenses by this time. The technique that you used last night will never work again. Unlike you three, I don't underestimate their forces. You seem to be forgetting that they have a Watcher on their side. Oh wait, you actually forgot it already; otherwise you two wouldn't be stupid enough to clash with Ezekiel head-on last night."

Fabio fell silent.

"There is nothing that we can do with the past," Serafina continued. "What we have to do now is be proactive and think carefully about our next move. Now that they have my son back on their side, what do you think they will do?" she asked, eyeing the three men expectantly.

There was a pause as Serafina threw glances at them.

"They're going to visit Delphina," Jaeron finally said.

"Exactly. They are now going to find the best way to prevent me from controlling Crisiant. They are desperate for answers, and only that Seer can help them. I am most certainly sure that they are now planning their trip to her place," the lady in black said.

"Isn't it prudent to just capture Delphina or kill her, my lady? I mean, she already declared to you face-to-face which side she's on. Shouldn't we silence her now so that Lunaria's group won't find the answers they're seeking?" Tyrone Judeus asked.

Serafina bowed her head and took a deep breath. "Aren't you forgetting that they still have my son and Ike on their side—our two most important targets? Instead of silencing that Seer, we are going to use her as a trap. One of these days Ezekiel and his group will visit Delphina. We are going to use that opportunity to capture Crisiant and Ike."
