And another one. Check out wyattpalsyo's The Chasers Haven. Again, thanks for the dedic! I've been getting a lot of dedications lately. It seems na parami nang parami ang nasisira kong buhay. Haha. Joke lang.

Good luck with your story! Just keep writing until you reach the ending. 😉

The dark sky, stars, fields, and everything around us dissolved into beautiful plumes and puffs of multicolored smoke. Robb and Serafina dissolved last, their bodies dispersing into grey and purple smoke respectively.

"It was, well, love at first sight," Delphina declared with a gentle smile. "At least for your father. Serafina may have had reservations with your father at first but she eventually learned to accept Robb and his eccentricities. He was bold, charismatic, daring—"

"Overly-invasive of other people's personal space?" I added.

RB and Delphina both chuckled.

"In the short time that Serafina stayed in that community, Robb gave her something that she had lost a long time ago — home. Your mother may be powerful and strong-willed, but she was still young and brittle. Her poor, pining heart, broken at such a young age, was stoked back to life by the warm flames of love," Delphina said.

"I keep forgetting that she still has a heart during those years," said RB with a sigh. "But I guess I can understand her situation back then."

"Your mother didn't just change her heart and mind overnight. She had conflicted feelings. She was torn between her duty to her fellow weirdos and the calls of her young love. It wasn't easy for Serafina. If Robb were a weirdo, the decision might've been easier for her. Unfortunately for her case, choosing one meant giving up the other. She had to make a choice, a difficult one," the old Seer continued as the multicolored smoke around us started taking different shapes and forms.

It was nighttime again and we're currently standing on the outskirts of the town. Fewer houses were present in the area and the terrain looked a little wilder. Over the distance, I could see the verdant hills where Serafina and Robb first met.

"Serafina!"

Robb's sharp voice suddenly snapped the silence of the place. The three of us looked behind to see the young lady in black being followed by Robb. The former was wearing her cloak and seemed to be leaving the place.

"Wait! Why won't you listen to me?" RB's father said upon reaching Serafina.

"Jaeron is waiting for me over there. We have to leave. We're done with our work here," the lady replied.

"What about me? What about us? Are you just going to leave me here?" Robb asked.

For the first time since I met her, I saw a pained expression on Serafina's face. It was really off-putting seeing her so weak and vulnerable. She looked exactly like RB on that night that we spent in the forest.

"How many times do I have to repeat to you that we cannot continue this? I am a weirdo, you're not. What do you think my kind will think about me once they learn that I have a relationship with a non-magical? You have your own life. I have my own. We were meant to meet each other, but we're not meant to be together. I'm sorry," Serafina said, her cheeks glistening with tears.
