Chapter 59

Lucas came out of nowhere and quickly took me away from her sister and away we went to the garden balcony. I am so confused and equally weirded out from those remarks and unsaid words.

"Sorry about that. Gosh your sister's gonna kill me if you get involved in that" he said gesturing to the scene earlier inside the house

"Who are those?" I asked specifically to no one, I look so lost and it's pathetic

He sighed and invited me to sit on a comfortable bean bag chair and I did

"The woman who spoke to you? That's Veronica Astra and the one on the couch? Her name's Vera Amauri. They're sisters and you need to be careful around them." he warned and it's obvious that there is some type of annoyed like emotion in his tone

I was about to ask more questions but we were interrupted by the holy presence of Victoria. Her eyes never left mine since she stepped outside the balcony. I gave her a soft smile in hopes that it will loosen her up a bit and I think it did.

She leaned against the door frame with her arms crossed and then I thought; how can someone be this attractive? I won't get tired of explaining how beautiful she is and all the adjectives in the world and it's still not enough to describe her

I patted the bean bag where I am seated, she walked towards me and sat. My body seems to be craving her familiar warmth, I instantly snuggled to her as she held me closer to her kissing the top of my head

"Oh my god! I can't believe my sister has a soft side until you came! You guys are so adorable!" Lucas cooed

I snuggled closer to her putting my face on the crook of her neck, and her lavender scent instantly hit my nostrils. Who would've thought that vanilla and lavender make an awesome combination.

After a few minutes, we were summoned in the dining area for lunch. Victoria made sure that I am seated between her and Lucas. And it's starting to feel uncomfortable na iniiwas nila ako sa dalawang mag kapatid. And even Lucas seems to have some time of type of uneasy feeling towards the two siblings leaving me beyond curious.

Veronica and Vera sat in front of us while the parents sat on either end of the table, their helpers were serving food and while the older folks talk amongst themselves, here are the Ruiz cousins sending death glares to each other.

I just know that something happened between them that resulted into this cold war

"Krystal, honey. Try this, Veronica cooked this" inosenteng alok ni tita Vangie

"They said someone special will be joining us today, so I made sure that that tastes extra good" she said in a flirty tone
