Checking my outfit in the mirror while stile contemplating if I should go or not, but Jelly won't let me back down.
I was contented wearing a tie-front lace off shoulder crop top, high waisted slacks and finished it off with a nude Kate 85 Christian Louboutin heels.
"Drop dead gorgeous, as usual"
I turned to Jelly who's standing by the door frame wearing a black sleek faux leather mini dress. She's hot as she is, not just my type. Besides we were friends even from the beginning and she made it clear enough that she's straight as a pole
"You look as equally pleasing" I complimented and that earned me a smile from her
"Oh, by the way I asked my dad's driver to drop my car in front of the building. We will be using that tonight"
I informed her, Blair should be arriving there any minute now. Finally done with some finishing touches with our light make up, we both went down the lobby and asked the concierge for the key and thanked him
On our way to The Queens' Hive, I can't help but feel anxious about the awaiting conversation with my friends. I felt a warm hand on my knee, I looked over Jelly who's giving me a small smile of assurance which I returned
I passed my keys to the valet and went in with me and Jelly hand in hand
"It'll be alright" she reassured
Banging music and flickering lights welcomed us as soon as we step foot inside, this is a classy bar and not your typical jam-packed bars full of sweaty drunk people and I was thankful for that. I am not in the mood to push through sweaty bodies
In an instant, I spotted familiar faces. Faces that I haven't seen for years, when their gaze fell on me shock immediately drawn on their faces. Mixed expressions I haven't seen before
I continued walking to our table with Jelly close beside me
"Hi"
I awkwardly greeted as we reached the spot, they were stuck and speechless for a few more seconds before reacting
"Walang hiya ka! Pag tapos mong nawala ng tatlong taon 'hi' lang sasabihin mo?"
Shane exclaimed over the loud music, I can see that she's not mad when she said that. More like in disbelief
With one swift move, Jacques engulfed me in a tight hug
"I missed you" he confessed, and I know that he is crying right now so I pulled away and made him look at me
This guy is aging like a fine wine, he looked more manly than he is the last time I saw him
"I missed you too, big guy. I'm sorry I left not telling any of you" I started
I wiped his tears, I looked over his shoulder
"Hey Val, Shane"
I greeted, Val and Shane are crying their eyes out before making their way to me and pulling me in for a hug
"O-okay guys, I cannot breathe" I teasingly complained
"That's what you get for leaving us" ani Val pag tapos kumalas
"Um, by the way, this is Jelly. My roommate in Italy"
They all warmly greeted her and made sure that she doesn't feel out of place. And once again, I felt genuinely happy although half empty. At least I get to meet my friends again and right now, that is a vital progress for me
Empty bottles were scattered both on the floor and on the table, they are all pretty smashed aside from me. Though I feel a little dizzy due to alcohol, I am still sober enough to drive.
And sober enough to recognize these three women standing in front of me
The Charlie's Angels of Park Wood University are standing before my eyes. I blinked hardly a couple of times trying to get a clearer image and to make sure that I am not hallucinating. Then realization finally hit my thick skull
It is them
