Baking(Ness x Reader)

I was just lying on my bed, reading my favorite book. Well, trying to read. I kept spacing out or dozing off. Finally, I gave up. "There's nothing to do today..."

Suddenly, my phone rang. I reached over and answered. "Hello??"

"Hey (Y/N)!"

I blushed. It was my crush. "N-Ness?"

"Are you busy?"

"No, why?"

"Do you want to come over to my place? Mom and Tracy aren't home. We could bake something if you want to."

"Bake?" I giggled. "Aren't you a force of destruction in the kitchen?"

He laughed a bit. "Okay, (Y/N). You coming or not?"

"I'll come."

"Ok. See you then!" He hung up.

I immediately ran to my closet to find something to wear. I chose my (favorite color) shirt, my (black or white) skirt and my (second favorite color) Converse. I walked up the path to Ness' house.

I rang the doorbell, and Ness opened the door.

"Hey (Y/N)! Come in!"

I entered the house and put my shoes by the door.

We entered the kitchen and I opened the cookbook on the counter.

I flipped through the book until I found a recipe for blueberry muffins.

"This looks simple enough. Alright, first we need flour."

"On it." Ness opened the pantry and reached for the flour, which was on the top shelf.He managed to haul the bag off the shelf and onto the counter. I pulled a mixing bowl out of the cupboards and began measuring the amount of flour needed when Ness tapped my shoulder.

I turned in his direction just to see him throw a handful of flour at my face.

"NESS! What was that for??" I spluttered.

Ness was laughing. "Gotcha!"

I grabbed a handful of flour out of the bag and started chasing Ness around.

I finally threw the flour at him when he was leaning on the counter, trying to catch his breath from laughing and running.

I giggled and went back to the mixing bowl, slightly winded from running.

"Ok, next we'll need some sugar."

For a little while, the ingredient process went smoothly, with me listing ingredients and Ness grabbing them. Every now and then, he'd pull a prank, and more often than naught we would both be leaning against the counter, laughing really hard for the smallest reasons. We finally finished the batter, but we were covered in flour.

"Alright, now we need blueberries.'

I opened the fridge and took out the package of blueberries. I took out a handful and rinsed them under the water when Ness said,

 "Throw me a blueberry!" 

He opened his mouth. I threw the blueberry but I missed.

He picked it up and chucked it in the trash. "Can we try it again?"

"Ness, we need to save blueberries for the muffins."

"Pleeeease (Y/N)? Just one more time."

After several tries, he finally managed to catch a blueberry in his mouth.

I put the rest of the blueberries in the bowl and mixed them in.

After we separated the batter into the muffin holders, I put the tin in the oven.

"Ok then!" Ness grinned. "Let's go to my room!"

He grabbed my hand, making me blush, and led me upstairs to his room. We spent the time reading his comics until I smelt something off.

"Ness, do you smell that?"

"No..?"

"The muffins!!" I jumped off of Ness' bed and ran down the steps to the kitchen. I popped the over open to see a few of the muffins burnt.

"Dang it..."

Ness was beside me, staring at the muffins. "Well, at least some of them are still okay..."

I took the tin out (with mitts on) and started picking out the muffins that were burnt and throwing them in the trash. 

Ness took a good muffin and took a bite out of it. "Wow.."

He offered you a piece. "Try some!"

I ate a piece and smiled. " It actually came out good!"

 "It was all because of my awesome skills!" Ness said jokingly.

I giggled. "Skills?"

"Well, okay, it was 50/50."

"Not even! More like 99/1."

Ness grinned and started chasing me. "You take that back!"

He chased me around the house and hugged me from behind when he caught up to me.

I blushed. "Um-"

Ness turned me around so that I was facing him.

I started blushing even more and Ness giggled.

"(Y/N), I've been meaning to tell you this for a long time."

I stared at my feet. "What do you mea-"

Before I could finish my sentence, Ness tilted my chin up so I was facing him, and pressed his lips on mine.

He pulled me closer by my waist, then pulled away slowly after a few moments.

"I'm in love with you, (Y/N)."

I put my head on his shoulder. " I love you too Ness."

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. Ness let go of me, and I took my phone out and answered the call. "Hello?"

It was my mom.  "(Y/N), could you please go pick up your siblings from the arcade?"

"Sure."

"Thank you dear." She hung up the phone.

Ness looked at me. "Leaving?"

I nodded and began tugging my shoes on.

"Can I have one more kiss before you go?"

I stood up and gave Ness a quick peck on the lips and walked away.

"I love you!" He called out after me.

"I love you too Ness!"

AN: This is most likely my longest story?? Idk it's either this one or the chapter before it.
