I've Missed You(Ness x Reader)

I was at Giant Step, waiting for Ness to show up.

I looked out at the view.

This was where we first started dating...

It's been several years since Ness confessed his love for me. We've been dating since, and we're both in our senior year of high school. Ness has become a very popular kid, and he plays on our school's baseball team. In terms of personality, he's still the same, just more mature and handsome.

"He said he had news to share, so where is he?"

"(Y/N)!!"

I turned around to see Ness running up to me. He hugged me and nuzzled his face into my neck.

"Sorry I'm late." He let go and put his hands in his pockets. "How are you?"

"Didn't you say you had news to share?"

His smile faded. "Oh. Right..."

"So... you know how I've been wanting to become a professional baseball player?"

I nodded.

"Well, I was offered a scholarship from a college that has a really good baseball team, so this could be the next step."

I grinned and hugged him. "That's great Ness! You should take the scholarship."

"Yeah...well...there's one problem..."

"Which is?"

"It's all the way in Fourside..."

My smile fell. "You're...leaving?"

"I have to, but I promise I'll visit. As soon as I'm free, I'll come back to visit."

"I-"

" (Y/N), I promise. I 'll come back."

Tears prickled my eyes, and I buried my face into his chest.  "I know, but..."

"...I don't want you to go."

Ness wrapped his arms around me. "I know, but I'll visit as soon as possible."

"...Alright."

"That was 11 months ago..." I sighed.

Ness has been gone for almost a year now, and he still hasn't visited. No calls, no letters, nothing. I can't really blame him though; college can be really stressful. I've been busy too.

I stared at the textbook in front of me on my desk, then glanced up at the clock.

It's 3:30 PM. "I gotta go drop my siblings at the arcade"

When I entered my parents' house, both of my siblings ran up to me.

"Hi (Y/N)..."

"(Y/N), heyyyy!"

"Hi guys. Come on, your friends are waiting."

After I dropped them off at the arcade, I began the quiet walk home. While I was walking, I couldn't help but think about Ness and how I missed him.

"(Y/N)!!" I heard a familiar voice hollering my name.

I turned around and stared.

"Ness?"

I ran towards him. He hugged me tightly and I held onto him too.

Tears were sliding down my face. "I missed you."

Ness looked at me. "I know. I missed you too."

After a few seconds of silence, I looked up at Ness. "So, how's college?"

"College was nice, but it was also sort of stressful. I did join the baseball team, like I mentioned. Fourside's pretty nice, but...."

"....I did feel sort of homesick after a while."

He put his hands on my waist and leaned in closer. "I really missed you."

"I missed you too."

Our lips met, and he pulled me closer. I wrapped my arms around his neck and moved closer still. After a second, I felt his tongue touch my upper lip. I blushed, then opened my mouth slightly and Ness delved in.

After a few moments of passionate kissing, he slowly pulled away. 

"I love you Ness."

He grinned. "I love you too."

He wrapped his arm around my waist. "Want me to take you to your place?"

"Sure."
