Chin and Norea weren't exactly sure what to think of her statement, but they decided upon one thing. "Well, we should go to Natalia's library, she keeps all the lawbooks there." - said Chin. "Yes, but how trustworthy are they?" - asked Y/n. "Well, she got them from Brittany for safekeeping." - he said.
She nodded, "Mother would never allow her to have the real ones." - Y/n said. "Could it be that something is going on?" - she asked, Norea yawned, slightly tired, "Well, I wouldn't be one hundred per cent sure, but I believe that might be so." - Chin said, pecking his lover's cheek.
"Well, we can continue this conversation tomorrow, Y/n, make sure to get home safe, however." - said Chin and the three hugged, "Thank you. When is the wedding?" - she asked, "The wedding is in a few days, thing is, we're still trying to prove two male countries can be a couple."
She smiled, "Well, if you need any help with that, don't hesitate to call me, you know where to find me." - she said, Chin raised a brow at her, "Where are you though?" - he asked, "I am living with Russ." - she mumbled not so loudly, some other countries did not know she was his fiancé.
Chin's eyes widened, "You're going to be Russ' wife? He's one of my stronger allies, it would be an honour to have you join us when the time comes." - he said, she nodded, "Indeed, are we talking of war or?" - she smirked.
He chuckled darkly, "Just wait, there's a way bigger scheme, I heard Russ speak at a party, something connected to his late father, I'm guessing what you said about something going on could be the truth, after all, nobody wants to talk about it." - Chin finished.
"Well, I shall get going now, get home safe." - she said with a smile. The three said their goodbyes, and she was finally on her way home. The dogs followed, Sergei was intrigued to find out who his mistress is, she must have a deeper history that his master's mother didn't check.
The walk home was getting worse as the snow kept falling. What a wonderful winter, Y/n thought, and she knew she'd have to get used to it, she had arrived from the human world, only to be met with a harsh winter of this reality.
Only a few more metres before she made it back home. She could see the front door was open, Igor was awaiting her. She smiled as she approached the door, the dogs entering before her. "Evening, Miss, master Russ awaits you in his office, he seems a little upset." - said Igor.
Y/n was more than aware he may be a little more than just upset, but she'd take it, for now, only a few more weeks, and they would be married, nothing to worry her head about. Or so she hoped.
She sighed as she made her way inside the mansion, her feet carrying her like she wasn't even thinking about where she is going. She slowly made her way down the darkest of the hallways, at the end of the hallway was a large door. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she saw them.
She didn't have to guess to know this was his office, even if she had not seen the door before, she knew it was his office she was about to walk into. She went to knock on the door but thought it was better to just burst in. And so she did.
With a wham, she opened the door to the office, a serious expression on her face. She glared at Russ who sat at his desk, he watched his fiancé walk over to his table. "You expected me?" - she asked, Russ sat, a cigarette between his lips.
"Come." - he said, both were still serious, the tension was slowly rising. Russ watched as the dress which she wore tightly held her breasts up, his smirk only appearing once he puffed a cloud of smoke into her face. "It seems you're hiding your true nature, darling." - he said.
Her expression didn't change, "And what may that be, Russ?" - she said, crossing her arms. His smirk only widened as he stood from his chair, walking over to her, "It seems that you're more of a firecracker than you'd like me to see." - his smirk suddenly disappeared, and he became serious again.
She watched him, his movements returning to that of his uncaring nature, "Whatever you're playing at right now, I assure you, I do not care how much you may or may not want to impress me." - he said. She internally sighed, knowing now's not the time to argue.
He walked over to the window, puffing a cloud of smoke through his nostrils. "I believe if we're to be married, we may as well get to know each other." - his smirk returned, and chills ran down her spine as he did. She didn't know how to react, all she knew was not to push right now.
He spoke once more, "Tell me, Y/n, who were your birth parents?" - he watched her through the glass of the window, she gulped, this wasn't Russ... "It couldn't be... why did he..." - she mumbled to herself.
"Come now... Little sun... don't hide your true nature, you know very well it's impolite to lie." - he said. The nickname rang in her ears, she almost gasped at the mention, but she tried to hold back, this was impossible. He couldn't be him... He's dead. But the witch had been wrong before...
"Well... Little sun? Are you that far inside the poor girl's mind?" - suddenly the whole demeanour of Russ changed. The smirk on his face, reeked of evil, she wanted to run out of the room, her fight or flight response telling her to run, there's no way to win.
She felt herself snap, but she had to hold it in. She dropped to her knees, Russ turned around, watching her, "That's it, let it all out... Little sun." - she could hear dark chuckles coming from him, those same chuckles triggered a response, "𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚑𝚒𝚖 𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛... 𝚈𝙾𝚄 𝙵𝚄𝙲𝙺𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝙰𝚂𝚂𝙷𝙾𝙻𝙴!!!" - she shouted at him.
She went to pounce, only to have her fist caught within his hand, "𝙴𝚊𝚜𝚢 𝚗𝚘𝚠, 𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚝𝚕𝚎 𝚜𝚞𝚗, 𝙸'𝚖 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚑𝚞𝚛𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞. 𝙸'𝚖 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚜𝚞𝚛𝚎 𝚠𝚎 𝚛𝚞𝚕𝚎 𝚘𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚒𝚗, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚠𝚑𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚜𝚎 𝚝𝚠𝚘 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚋𝚎 𝚠𝚎𝚍." - he smirked, his face moving dangerously close to hers.
"𝚁𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎𝚜 𝚠𝚎 𝚞𝚜𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚍 𝚜𝚘 𝚖𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚏𝚞𝚗 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎 𝚝𝚘𝚐𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛? 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚜𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚖 𝚖𝚢 𝚗𝚊𝚖𝚎 𝚊𝚜 𝙸 𝚌𝚞𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚋𝚎𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚒𝚏𝚞𝚕 𝚏𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚑, 𝚘𝚗𝚕𝚢 𝚝𝚘 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚕 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚏𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚠𝚊𝚛𝚍𝚜..." - his twisted grin made her struggle in his grip, the crazy bastard.
"𝙳𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚢, 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎, 𝙸'𝚕𝚕 𝚙𝚞𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚋𝚎𝚕𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚒𝚗, 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚋𝚘𝚍𝚢 𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚗𝚎𝚡𝚝, 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚢𝚌𝚕𝚎 𝚗𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚜..." - he cackled as his lips pressed to hers in a disgusting sloppy kiss, she struggled to push him off, but to no avail, she could only sadly whimper.
It didn't take long before both of them had snapped back, and their lips had parted, both of them had tears in their eyes. "What was that..." - she mumbled, he sighed, "I don't know. Damn it! Y-Y/n..." - he stuttered for a moment, a moment of weakness. His weakness.
They looked at one another. He looked at her and she looked back. They gulped. "We can't..." - she mumbled. "We must..." - he mumbled back. She shook her head as he stood up. Silence.
"I'll talk to her." - he said. She sighed. "Don't talk to her. It will make it all worse!" - she shouted. He turned to her. "But she can help us! She must know what's going on! She must know who these people are!"
Y/n sighed deeply. "I'm going to lay down. I can't take this right now. Please Russ let's just lay down. Please." - he sighed. Taking her hand into his, he walked in the direction of the door. "Go to the bedroom, I need to make an important call, alright?" - he said.
She nodded and they leaned in, almost kissing, however, a tingle in her body made her pull away. "In bed. Be in bed by eleven." - she said. He looked up at the clock which indicated there was half an hour until eleven.
