After hours of riding their horses, they finally reached a small village on the outskirts of a kingdom. Mother Teresa had arranged for a carriage to take them to a safe house, where they would be able to rest and make further plans for Y/n's journey. As they settled into the safe house, Y/n couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards Mother Teresa. She knew that she wouldn't have been able to escape without her help and guidance.
"Thank you, Mother Teresa," Y/n said, tears of gratitude welling up in her eyes. "I don't know what I would have done without you." she said.
Mother Teresa smiled, taking Y/n's hand in her own. "You are always welcome, my child. Now, let us rest and plan for your journey ahead, you've still got a long way to go before you reach the end goal, my dear." said Mother Teresa as she went to sleep for the night. Meanwhile, Y/n walked over to the window of the safe house, watching the distant village, and the forest, Y/n watched as the sun was already set, the beautiful fireflies filling the air, which surprised her.
As she saw one land on her finger, she noticed something, down below, a figure was walking, Y/n blinked as to make sure she wasn't dreaming, and when she did, there was nothing below her at all, a frown formed upon her delicate face, but it didn't stay there for long, as it was quickly replaced by that of fear, "You're still awake, silly." it was Pola, standing beside Y/n, making her jump in fear.
"How did I--" she was cut off by Pola, "It's a talent, don't ask from where, as I don't want to talk about it." she said, and with that, Poland changed the subject, "What were you looking at?" she asked, "I think I saw someone... walking around the safehouse..." she mumbled, Pola frowned, looking around, but as she did, she didn't see anything, nor anyone, however, something did seem fishy here. "Strange... we're in a safehouse... we shouldn't be known to the villagers..." she muttered.
Again, the sound of footsteps, but what Y/n didn't want to admit, the sight of two pairs of eyes, watching from the darkness, "Pola..." Y/n caught her attention, "I can see them too, do you think they're here for us?" she asked, Y/n frowned, "...it's possible..." Y/n mumbled, something about these eyes seemed familiar, "Come... I have a feeling I know whom those eyes belong to." she said, and so the two women made their way out of the safehouse and into the street.
The two pairs of eyes never left the spot where they were waiting, Y/n came closer and upon closer inspection, she noticed exactly whom these eyes belonged to, "Hello there!" she said whispering happily, only to have a beautiful dog appear, "Misha!" she happily petted the dog, and when she realized the other pair wasn't any of the other pups, she saw Kira noticed she went missing. "Mistress, it was not right of you to run off like that." he said, and Pola looked over to Kira and Kira glanced at her for a moment, the two exchanged glances, before both looking away from one another.
"Kira, I did what I had to, and now we're here, so allow me to continue on my journey, so that I may return to Russ as soon as possible." she said, Pola moved away, with the dog following her, Misha clearly ignored Kira's calls to halt. "Kira, I suggest that you go back to Russ--" she was cut off by the soldier, "Did you know that all those things he said to you were lies...?" Kira suddenly said, to which Y/n frowned, "Pardon?" Kira just smirked, "That night when the two of you were drunk, the day everyone came to celebrate your engagement, do you really think he actually wanted to be sitting there with you? Aren't you a tad bit smarter than that?" he asked.
Y/n smirked, "Your point, Kira?" she asked, "I've heard you say this many times before, perhaps you didn't have the balls to speak to me, but with the way you've used your criminal experience for many things, I'm not surprised you're actually trying this guilt-tripping trick on me." she said. Kira's facial expression stayed unchanging as he spoke up, "Mistress, I am here for your protection, and my suggestion, if you wish to be safe, is to do as Master Russ ordered, forget about him and move on." Kira said, to this Y/n just got annoyed, her head was hurting from the nonsense which Kira was speaking of.
