Y/n's eyes fluttered open as the warm morning sun beamed through her window, casting a gentle glow across her room.
She yawned and stretched, trying to shake off the last remnants of sleep that clung to her.
As she rubbed the sleep from her eyes, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease about the night before.
Strange noises had kept her awake, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what had caused them.
With a deep breath, Y/n got out of bed and made her way over to her vanity table. As she sat down and picked up her hairbrush, she began to piece together the events of the night before. The sounds had been muffled and distant, but they had definitely been there. She couldn't help but wonder if someone had been trying to break into her room.
Despite her nerves, Y/n was determined not to let her fear show. She carefully chose her outfit for the day, opting for a short dress that showed off her legs. She knew it was a risk, but she wanted to prove to herself that she wasn't going to let anyone intimidate her.
As she finished getting ready, Y/n felt a surge of confidence wash over her. She might be shy and reserved, but when she felt threatened or teased, she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself. Today was no different. With a snappy comeback always at the ready, Y/n was ready to show the world just what she was made of.
Y/n walked towards the front door, her footsteps echoing in the empty hallway. She could see a silhouette sitting on the other side of the door and she smiled to herself. As she opened the door, the bright sunlight streaming in, she saw Kira sitting in the chair, engrossed in a book.
"Morning, Kira," Y/n said, her voice cheerful.
Kira looked up from his book, surprised to see Y/n up so early. He quickly got up from the chair, his stiff posture betraying his reserved nature. "Good morning, young mistress," he said with a slight bow.
Y/n stepped out of the house and looked down the other side of the pathway, to see Poland approaching her. "Morning, Y/n," Poland said, her voice soft.
"Good morning, Poland," Y/n replied with a smile. She was happy to see her friend, especially after the strange noises she had heard the night before.
As they walked together, Kira trailing behind them, Y/n couldn't help but notice the tension between Kira and Poland. Despite his cold demeanour, Y/n knew that Kira was in love with Poland, but she also knew that he would never admit it.
The three of them walked in silence for a while until Y/n broke the quiet. "How was your night, Kira?" she asked, trying to start a conversation.
"It was quiet, young mistress," Kira replied, his tone flat.
Y/n knew that Kira would never be the one to initiate conversation, so she turned to Poland. "What about you, Poland? Did you sleep well?" she asked, trying to keep the conversation going.
As they walked down the winding path towards the nursery in the village, Y/n couldn't help but feel mischievous. She knew that Kira and Poland were both reserved and serious, but she couldn't resist teasing them a little.
"So, Kira," she said, turning to him with a sly grin, "are you finally going to tell Poland how you feel about her?"
Kira's face turned bright red, and he stumbled over his words. "I... I don't know what you're talking about, young mistress," he stammered.
Y/n laughed and turned to Poland. "What about you, Poland? Are you secretly in love with Kira?" she asked, winking at her friend.
Poland blushed and looked away. "I... I don't know what you're talking about, Y/n," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
