Poland blinked twice at the news, she had heard a lot of love stories at the feasts and banquets that had happened before but never a current one and including her relatives. It seemed surreal, "Why would he do that? Isn't it apparent you're enamoured in Russ?" she asked as the cold wind became stronger, causing leaves to rustle and the field to move like a golden ocean, yet Polska didn't care.
"I could never comprehend situations like this, it is fatiguing for all the people included" she said with a bemused face as the wind settled down for a bit.
"And nothing is guaranteed at the end, perhaps all the people included may hate each other in the finale. Such a waste of time for everyone" she mumbled...
"I am aware, but you must understand that my feelings lie only with Russ. He's the man I am supposed to marry. There was only two weeks or so before we had to get married." she said sadly.
"It's because of Natalia, Russ' mother, that we got separated." she said. "She had some sort of plan that I am not fully aware of." she said quietly.
"Natalia..." she repeated, slightly frowning.
Frankly, saying Poland had expected her to show up instead of Y/n. She saw her a couple of times when she was younger and within growing up she's heard about her enough to got into conclusion she shouldn't deal with that woman.
Y/n nodded. "She seemed to like me... A lot. But like I said, she's just a good friend of my mother's." Y/n explained.
Out of the blue, she got into consciousnesses and gulped quietly, "Why do you want to know how to fight?"
"I'm scared Russ might be in trouble back home." she told her. "Kira seems to be against me going back to get him. Like I told you, I sense something is wrong..." she mumbled quietly, so he wouldn't hear.
Poland nodded in understatement, feeling like the wind is again getting stronger she leaned to Y/n to whisper "I can teach you, yet you'll have to promise me something and answer one question" she cleared her throat quickly with one slight gulp "The question is, will Kira be nearby whilst I'm teaching?" she asked.
"He cannot be. We will have to find a way to keep him away from us at all costs." she whispered back to her.
"We can do it at night then, here, when he falls asleep, because even douchebags like him must sometimes sleep" she rolled her eyes, looking up at Kira.
Kira was in the tree top, stalking the two, but since they were whispering, he couldn't hear much of what they spoke of.
"About the promise..." she looked back at Y/n, her face shone in trust she hasn't had in anyone for a long time now. He felt... relaxed next to Y/n, perhaps because she seemed like an intelligent woman? Or maybe because she was, indeed, just a woman?
Poland doesn't have any female friends, and she has never been surrounded by any as well. She sometimes glanced at them during a walk, but never talked, sometimes she'd wave at them, yet still quiet as a mouse. Pola was already 19, but he has never had a real contact nor conversation with any female representative.
"I'll ask you to make a promise before we start lesson, is that alright?"
Y/n nodded, "Anything to help Russ..." she mumbled sadly, a stray tear falling down her face. "I promise anything. If it means that I will be able to save Russ..." she said quietly, again as to not be heard by Kira.
"You will, Y/n. You will."
Y/n wiped the tear from her face, sighing deeply. "Well, it is lovely to have a friend, you know. Back at home, Russ didn't really allow me to spend time with anyone outside the family, you know." she said, in a normal tone now, as to seem normal.
"Huh" he blinked as her voice stopped being overly cloying as it has been before. She titled her head as she puffed a little air out as a sign of amusement, "Sounds like we both have a similar situation, don't we?" she asked, relaxing her face from the fake smile she had.
"Well, Russ was always overprotective of me, so it is why that week I had lived with him, I had somehow managed to feel as caged as I had back at my old home. My mother didn't allow me to go out too much either." Y/n said.
Silence followed.
The weather was still as lovely as it was when the two females began to converse.
Now it was even better. The golden field looked like a beautiful golden ocean. Small birds flew over their heads, little particles filling the air.
Y/n heard Kira get down from the tree, slightly annoyed. "Come on, mistress, it is getting late." he said. Y/n looked over to Poland, waiting for her sign.
A sign that it is indeed time that they go.
A blonde, almost white haired girl nodded as she stood up neatly, brushing any dirt from her dress that got onto her "He is right, it's getting late" she spoke up, already going to the mansion.
Once they made their way back to the mansion, Y/n followed a maid who showed her where her room will be, meanwhile, luckily for Y/n, Kira was placed some place further from Y/n, which she was grateful for.
