The morning sun gently grazed Y/n's skin, her body pressed against someone... As she felt movement beneath her, she gently opened one eye, only to rub it the next moment.

As she yawned, she heard a soft chuckle, "Good morning, princess."

She looked up to see Russ, holding her against his body, covered in a blanket, or something of the sort, she felt very warm under it, and she yawned again, as she felt his lips gently press against her forehead.

"What time is it...?" She asked, "It's about noon."

Y/n quickly sat up, only to be gently pulled back down by Russ, "Calm down, Y/n, all is good."

She looked at him and wiped her eyes again. She noticed that he was naked, a thing which she didn't expect, but considering that last night she had given her virginity to her beloved husband...

... She could understand just why she was probably blushing brightly, and her mind was lost in the world of imagination. And yet meanwhile... she could hear a strange sound coming from the village, it sounded unusual until the sound became louder, "Russ."

Russ looked at her, "Do you hear that?" she asked, to which he made sure to listen, his eyes widened, the sound of an omnipotent metal machine, gears turning, "Y/n, get dressed, we have to make a run for it."

With haste, Y/n quickly ran and got dressed into a dress she had with her, she looked for the children, waking them up, "Y/n... what's going on?" asked the boy, to which Y/n just looked at Russ, who seemed too... frozen.

"Sweetie, if we don't get away from here, something bad will happen to us, alright? And momma doesn't want you to get hurt, alright?" she asked, to which the little one nodded, and with a few quick shouts, Poland, Kira, Y/n, Russ and the kids were ready to make a run for it.

By stealing a few horses from the village, they quickly hopped on, and the chase began.

The wind whipped through their hair as Poland, Kira, Y/n, Russ, and the children raced through the open fields on stolen horses. The thundering hooves echoed behind them, announcing the impending danger closing in. The unknown army, led by a formidable knight, galloped fiercely, determined to capture their fleeing targets.

Adrenaline surged through their veins as they urged the horses to go faster. The children clung tightly to their parents, their wide eyes reflecting both fear and excitement. They knew they had to trust their family to keep them safe.

The knight's forces gained ground, their heavy armour glinting in the sunlight. Their steeds matched the stolen horses' pace, and their approaching hoofbeats grew louder with each passing second. The chase intensified as the gap between the two groups rapidly diminished.

Poland, his face set with determination, led the way with Kira by his side. Y/n and Russ flanked them, their eyes scanning the surroundings for any potential escape routes. They needed a plan, and they needed it fast.

As they approached a dense forest up ahead, Poland's mind raced. With a sudden decision, he veered to the left, guiding the group off the beaten path and into the depths of the woods. The horses plunged into the underbrush, their bodies expertly manoeuvring through the thick foliage.

The knight and his forces followed suit, their determination unwavering. Branches whipped against armour as they forged ahead, their swords and spears ready for action. The chase continued amidst the chaos of the forest, where the sounds of nature merged with the pounding of hooves.

Y/n's eyes darted around, searching for a way to throw their pursuers off their trail. A narrow ravine caught their attention, its steep walls promising a momentary advantage. With a quick signal, Y/n directed the group towards it, their horses leaping over the edge without hesitation.

The knight and his men caught off guard, struggled to follow suit. Horses reared and stumbled, momentarily slowing their advance. The pursuing army was momentarily stalled, providing a precious few seconds of respite for the escaping group.

They emerged from the ravine and raced on, their hearts pounding with both exhilaration and fear. The forest led to an open plain, dotted with boulders and tall grass. The vastness of the landscape offered both freedom and vulnerability.

Y/n spotted a cluster of large boulders a short distance away. It seemed like the perfect place to take cover and devise their next move. They directed the group towards the rocky outcrop, urging the horses to move faster.

Just as they reached the boulders, a barrage of arrows whizzed past them, narrowly missing their mark. The knight's forces had regrouped and resumed their relentless pursuit. With no time to waste, the group dismounted and sought shelter behind the massive stones.

Breathing heavily, Poland, Kira, Y/n, Russ, and the children caught their breath, their bodies trembling with exhaustion. The chase had taken its toll, but they refused to give up. Determined, they huddled together, their minds racing with thoughts of survival and escape.

As the unknown army closed in, the group prepared themselves for the next stage of their desperate flight. They knew they had to keep moving and fighting for the safety and well-being of each other and the children they held dear. With unwavering resolve, they steeled themselves for what lay ahead, ready to face whatever challenges came their way.

The knight's steely gaze fixed upon Poland, Kira, Y/n, Russ, and the children. He approached them slowly, his armour clanking with each deliberate step. His imposing presence sent a shiver down their spines, but they refused to let fear consume them.

With a commanding voice, the knight spoke, his words carrying a mixture of authority and curiosity, "Who dares steal from the village and attempt to flee from my forces?" His voice echoed across the open plain, demanding an answer.

Poland stepped forward, his eyes meeting the knight's unwavering stare. Though their situation seemed dire, he maintained a steadfast resolve. "We seek only to protect our loved ones," he declared, his voice filled with conviction. "We cannot stand idly by as darkness descends upon our homes."

Kira, Y/n, and Russ stood beside Poland, ready to defend their cause. The children clung to Russ and Y/n, their wide eyes fixed on the knight. Their innocence served as a reminder of the stakes involved— their future, their freedom.

The knight regarded them silently for a moment, his piercing gaze assessing their resolve. Finally, he spoke again, his tone softened with a hint of understanding. "I, too, fight to protect those I hold dear. But know that your actions have consequences."

As the knight raised his hand, his soldiers surrounded the group, forming a barrier that left them trapped. Anxiety coursed through their veins, but they remained united, their spirits unyielding.

Y/n's mind raced, searching for a way to negotiate their freedom. "We understand the repercussions of our choices," she pleaded. "But we implore you to consider the greater good. We are not your enemy."

The knight regarded Y/n thoughtfully, a flicker of doubt crossing his eyes. The weight of his responsibility bore down on him, conflicting with his duty. After a tense pause, he nodded, his decision made.

"Very well," the knight said, his voice tempered with unexpected compassion. "We shall see what the King shall say about this," he said. Oh, the poor fool he was... not knowing what awaited him... in the halls of the King and his daughter.
