Once again, Russ rode high upon his horse, now accompanied by Leila, Cairo and his dogs, Sergei and Alexander. Leila insisted that five of her best soldiers accompany them, which Russ agreed to.

They rode through his brother's land, day after day they rode, stopping now and again to take a break, eat some grub, and then continue on their journey. Russ was already getting tired of this mess that he had brought himself into. He should have kept his mouth shut, but for some reason, the idea of seeing Y/n made him persist and continue on their long journey.

It wasn't long until they found themselves at the gates of Belarus' castle. Russ gulped, holding his helmet on his head for a moment, it seemed that Cairo could see he was getting nervous. "Master, is something the matter?" he asked, to which Russ gave him another death glare, which made Cairo roll his eyes.

"No need to get all aggressive, master Russ," he muttered as he looked forward. Russ ignored what Cairo said and took a deep, quiet breath, he would get through this, even if it killed him. They rode on their horses, finally the bridge came down.

It seemed that taking Leila was the best choice they could have possibly made. However, this didn't seem to make Russ any more comfortable than it had before. He knew his brother, he was a hotheaded idiot, same as Ukraine, and he loved to suck up to their mother, being the favourite, surely, Belarus didn't like Russ one bit. After Y/n had beaten his and Azerbaijan's asses, Russ couldn't stop laughing in his head. For some reason, hard laughter had caught him in that very moment, as much as he adored Y/n the moment he saw her do it... he awoke.

He awoke in his soul, his soul, as if revived, began to awaken his whole body, his emotions, as slow as the process was... he was there. From early childhood, Russ could remember being taught that feelings are worthless and nobody needs any feelings, none beside the feeling of loyalty to the KING.

His father... grandfather... the royal family. Yes, he knew, he was royal, but at what cost? He sighed as he saw they were nearing the gates of the palace itself. He tried to not think too hard about what Belarus would react upon seeing Russ at his door...

... yet the fear remained. Russ never felt anxiety, fear, nothing of the sort. But after that day, Russ had his feelings re-awakened. Seeing many communist flags hanging from the palace of Belarus, Russ was more than certain his brother still felt the emotion of devotion to their father. Finally, they stopped, and Russ got off of his horse.

"Master Russ!" shouted one of the servants who had recognized the young prince, "OPEN THE GATES!!! YOUNG MASTER HAS ARRIVED!!!" shouted one servant, then the other, and so it kept going until it came to Belarus' ears. "Your majesty, your older brother is here!"

Belarus' was holding ice to his face, having been slapped by his bride and future wife. Belarus let out an annoyed sigh upon hearing the servant's announcement. "Yes, I can hear you just fine," he muttered under his breath before turning to face his bride. "Excuse me, my dear," he said with a slight bow before making his way towards the gates.

As he approached, he couldn't help but notice the communist flags hanging from the palace. He shook his head in disapproval before addressing the servant who had shouted earlier. "You don't have to shout, you know. I have ears," he said in a sharp tone. The servant hid somewhere as to get out of Belarus' reach, in case the man gets furious.

He then turned his attention to his older brother, Russ, and gave him a curt nod. "Welcome, big brother," he said, his tone devoid of any warmth. "I trust your journey was uneventful so far?"

Belarus was still nursing his bruised ego from the slap he had received, and he wasn't in the mood for small talk or pleasantries. He was more interested in getting to the bottom of why his younger brother had returned and what he wanted.
