*A few days later* July 6

~Matt's POV~

I woke up really early today because today was a really special day. I gently pushed her away from my grip and silently walked in her bathroom. I did my normal bathroom routine but fast. I put on a polo shirt and a khaki pants. I walked out of the room, down the stairs, and to the kitchen.

"Good morning, Mrs. and Mr. Hunter," I said as I entered the kitchen and they were reading today's newspaper.

"Good morning honey," Mae's mom said to me.

"Good morning," her father continued.

"What are we doing for Mae's birthday today?" I asked, sitting down on one of the dining tables with them.

"Didn't Mae tell you?" her father asked me and I shook my head.

"We're going to visit the Kids Organization today at noon," she replied to me. "We always go there every year since she turned teenager."

"You and your parents can come, if you guys want?" he asked.

"That would be lovely," I smiled. "What is it about anyways?"

"Kids Organization is a shelter for disabled kids," she replied. "Mae really likes going there every month, especially when it's one of the kids birthdays, or her birthday, on Halloween and on Christmas too. Sometimes, even New Year's too. She doesn't have that much time though to go there sometimes, but when she does the van trunk is full of presents."

"She's really nice," I whispered to myself.

"She really is," her dad responded. "She got that from her brother... Did she tell you about him?"

"Yeah, she did," I sighed. "I'm so sorry for your lost."

"It's alright," her mom sighed. "It's been 3 years. We need to move on. Did she?"

"She did, she took it really good," I smiled and they returned the gesture. "Do you guys mind if I bake a cake?"

"We don't mind that at all," he replied, standing up from his seat followed by his wife. "It's for Mae's birthday, isn't it?"

"Yes," I smiled while he smirked. "And it's also our weekiversary today."

"That's sweet. But if you break her heart, I'm going to be breaking you," he beamed.

"Don't worry sir," I smiled again. "I never intend to break her heart. It's a privilege to be loved by her and I don't want to lose that privilege at all."

"Good," he nodded his head and continued his pace. "The cake mix is in the really top drawer, by the way."

"Thank you," I said, grabbing the chair and guiding it to where the cake mix was.

I picked up the cake from the counter and ran upstairs with both of our parents following me. I slyly opened the door and we found her still sleeping. We all laughed quietly and we walked towards her bed. I say on the edge of her bed and shook her shoulder gently. Her eyes twitched and smiled as soon as she opened her eyes.

"Good morning, baby," I smiled, as she sat down.

"Good morning," she said, as I gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Happy birthday," we all shouted and she laughed.

"Thank you so much," she smiled, and I handed her the cake I made.

"Matt made that cake," I hear her father said behind us.

She smiled at me. She looked down on the cake and read what it said, which is: happy birthday baby girl and happy weekiversary!
