Chapter 2

~Mae's POV~

The whole school day today, I was with Matt and Emma. I wanted to make sure that no one bullies him anymore and stood up for the other student who got bullied from Madison today, which is a lot of students on the other days.

Before, she bullies about 10 person per day so 50 students per school week get bullied and I just walked away from them even though I was really hurt inside but now that I have the guts to stand up for them, I was the first one who stood up for Madison and today she only bullies 1 person, that person is Matt. Yet I'm not sure if she's going to bully another student tomorrow but I'll be there to stand up for them.

After school, Emma got in the school bus because she lives in a huge farm, while Matt and I were walking to get to my house for him to help me with my homework. We were walking quietly as we finally reached my house and he decided to talk.

"Woah, your house is huge," he said, really astonished.

"If that's a compliment, thank you," I said back. "If it's not, I know it's big."

~Matt's POV~

I only met Mae today at my first day of school when she stood up for me against the bully and she's already my best friend. She was really nice, sweet, kind, funny, and gorgeous and when she smiles the whole world stops and I would stare for a while, I think I kinda like her. But I bet she doesn't like me back because I'm a nerd and I'm ugly.

We were walking together to get to her house with a really awkward silence between us until I saw their house. It was huge. Maybe a three storeys high. Her house is bigger than my old house and my new house combine. Mae went straight to the kitchen to grab some snacks for us to eat and we both walked in her room on the second floor. Her room was just a normal rich room with a walk in closet, its own bathroom, its own television centre, a blue working table beside her bed with laptops on top of it, a bed, a design wall and carpeted floor but when you look on the left side of the room, there was a huge pool and a hot tub, like a size of my room (picture on the side).

"Come on in," she said, as she led me inside her room.

"Where did you get all this money?" I asked while putting my bag on her couch.

"My dad won the lottery when I was a kid, and even though I didn't want this fancy room they gave it to me because I was the only child," she replied, smiling.

The whole 2 hours, we did each other's todays homework, getting to know each other, and make funny jokes in her bed. It turns out that she's 14 years old and she's turning 15 this month so I'm just a year older than her, which is amazing. We also have a lot in common. She likes the subject Math, favorite food is spaghetti, favorite ice cream flavour is chocolate chip. Her favorite color is blue and lots more. As we joke around, we laughed and her laugh is so sexy, I think her laugh will always going to brighten my day and it can also cure cancer and could end wars.

After we finished doing our homework's, we decided to watch have the Transformers marathon which happened to be our favorite movies of all times.

"Would you agree if I made changes about myself?" I asked Mae as the first movie finishes.

"That depends," she replied, standing up to get her laptop and sit back at her bed. "What kind of change?"

"Like everything," I replied, taking a sip of my soda.

"Don't change everything about you," she said back, giving me an opposed look. "Maybe just change your looks, not your personality."

"Ok, when do I start?" I asked, grinning ear to ear. "And you can help. You have an amazing sense of fashion."

"Thanks," she acknowledged. "We can start this weekend. If you'd like?"

"Great, I'll get my money from my mom," I recommended, but she doesn't seem to like the idea.

"No, my treat," she requested.

I agreed and offered to let me drive us to the mall.

Yes, I can drive. I know that I'm only 15 but I got my drivers license early than the other kids.

The whole night, we were watching the whole Transformers movies and just get to know each other's personality better. Nothing crazy going on.

At dinner, Mae and her family let me eat with them at their beautiful dining room. They prepare their own dinner meals, no maids or something like that that the rich family always have in their house. Furthermore, I'm glad that they accepted me. They're not those kinds of parents who would let Mae hang out with the other popular kids. They would let Mae hang out with anyone that she would like to hang out with and they are not against it. They're happy about it especially that Mae just stood up from the biggest bully in school, Madison. Her parents accepted me quickly and told me that when I needed something or someone to hang out with, they'll always be there for me. They're as nice as Mae and that's probably why she's not a brat or something that I always see in my old school and movies.

They will beg their parents to get something that they wanted and when they got bored about it, they'll just gonna throw it away, and Mae's family are not like that. They do charities and help other people who needed the money the most and gave them some. I'm growing in with this family.

I walked home at about 9:00 in the evening to find out that her house is only a block away from my house. That means I can hang out with her anytime we want. When I got home, I saw my parents in the living room watching something that I don't understand at all. My mom saw me walk in the house and started walking towards me for a hug.

"How was your first day of school, honey?" she asked as we pulled away from the hug.

"It was amazing," I replied. I told everyone my first day of school, of how Mae protected me from the bullies, that she's already my best friends, of how she and her parents accepted me for who I am and about me changing my looks this weekend. I didn't tell them about Mae's family being so rich because they might just like Mae and her family for their money. And for the changing my look thing, they never liked this idea. I've always wanted to change my looks but my parents were always against it. They don't want me to change, they want me to be their cute nerdy baby of their own but I'm not a baby anymore and I wanted to help other people from bullying and it'll work if I look attractive, not nerdy.

I keep begging them for about an hour until my sister and my brother came out of their rooms and agreed about me changing my looks. I gave my mom a pleased look with a puppy dog eyes and pouting my lips and it actually works this time. That doesn't work all the time I tried it, but today it worked. They finally agreed and handed me some of their money. I didn't take it and I told them that Mae will pay for it because I did her homework. Even though I don't want Mae to pay for my new clothes, she supplicated me. My mom told me to say thank you from them when I saw Mae at school again tomorrow. I agreed and went to my room to go to sleep happily.
