Chapter 31

~Matt's POV~

"Nooo," Mae whined after I beat her again on a video game called Gears of War in their arcade floor, 3rd floor. "I don't like you anymore."

"You love me," I smirked, holding her hand so she could sit back down.

"No, not anymore," she replied, crossing her arms acrossed chest.

"How can you resist this face though," I said, walking in front of her and made kissy faces.

"I can by turning away from you," she smiled and turned away.

I hugged her from behind and started leaving kissed on the back of her neck.

"Matt stop," she turned away and looked at me. "I'm trying to stay mad you."

"You're mad because I beat you on Gears of War?" I laughed and she rolled her eyes.

"I've never lost that game before," she whimpered.

"Against who?" I asked, pulling her to sit on the couch.

"My ex," she whispered, looking down to her hands.

"Adrian?" I curiously asked.

"Don't say his name," she replied, annoyed while covering her ears.

"Right, I'm sorry," I said, wrapping my arms around her.

"What about a game of Just for Dance?" she challenged me while smirked and raised her right eyebrow at me.

"You're on," I smirked.

She stood up and prepared the console.

"I'll take it easy on you," she smirked follows by a wink.

"I'll try my best," I stood up from the couch and stood beside her.

"You should," she grinned.

"Alright, I give up," I surrendered. "I'm not good at dancing alright."

After playing pretty much all songs on the console, I won one of them. She won at all of them. I tried my hardest but she's amazing at it. I didn't know how she does it but everytime I turned around to look at her, my jaw dropped a bit. Then I'll catched it and go back to the dancing part of it.

"Oh look, not a single drop of sweat," she proudly said while I took a sit on the couch and grab water.

"I'm tired," I whined.

"But we haven't made our bucket list yet," she responded, sitting down beside me. "We went straight to the video game part."

"Fine," I sighed. "But after that we need to go to sleep."

"But its Saturday," she whimpered, pouting her lips. "There's no school tomorrow."

"Whatever let's just go," I said in my sleepy voice.

I grabbed Mae's hand and we both ran down the stairs. We entered her room, she sat down on the bed while I collapsed on her bed.

"You know what?" I heard her said. "Let's go to sleep. You don't seem that you're in a good mood anymore."

"Good night," I smiled and closed my eyes.

I do maybe sound a bit rude, but I got really worried. The worry came back at the thought of the note that was on the door earlier.

~Mae's POV~

Why was Matt acting so rude right now? What happened to the sweet Matt I know? One second, he's being really sweet and fun and then one second, he's just so rude. Is he on his period or what?
