21. Sick

Severus was in a mood more so then normal which was confusing people more than anything and no one knew the reason why the bat of the dungeons was like this and when Tom tried to talk to him all he got was either a door slammed in his face, ignored or just a grunt which annoyed but yet confused the other man.

"Minnie I have no clue what I have done to him to make him like this he won't even have his favourite chocolate , his bloody favourite chocolate of all things! I don't know why though!" he banged his head on the table a few times.

"Tom just stop that you are doing no good to your head or the damn table, he won't even speak to me or the others as he hexed us when we asked him, nothing bad mind you it was very tame compared to what he would normally do" said Minerva sipping her tea after she had dunked a ginger newt in it.

"He will come around sooner or later if you ask me, before the fashion menace was let go he would have days like this, mind you it normally last for about a week if that give or take a day depending when in the day it started so don't worry he will soon be back to our normal Severus Snape" again she sipped her tea and looked at her former class mate and smiled she had a feeling she knew what was wrong but what was a little payback now and again.

Severus was growling all through the halls of Hogwarts even he didn't know what was wrong with him all he knew was it was Tom Marvolo Riddle's fault and he was going to pay for it and pay he shall.

He slammed the door to his classroom open scaring the poor fifth year Slytherin and Gryffindor class, ah that's better some scaring helped but again it wasn't Tom at the end of it all, the students all stared at him it was the first time they had ever saw him with his hair up and to be honest it made him look younger, even the collar of his cloak was slightly open for some strange reason the man felt hot.

Whispering could be heard about how young he looked and the girls all giggled at it annoyed him even more.

"Please stop you whining about how I god damn look like just because my hair is up for a change means nothing, if you do not start your potion this very second you will find yourselves with two weeks detention with Flitch" that made them run to the storage cupboard to grab their ingredients.

"Doesn't you dad seem more mean than normal?" ask Daphne to Harry as they were partners this time around, the friends liked to switch each lesson to then they were well rounded and if they needed help from one of the stronger members of the group they helped each other.

"Greengrass detention tonight with me right after dinner" snide Severus he wasn't in the mood for anything including brats that couldn't shut up.

Everyone looked from Daphne to Severus and back again, did the potion master just give one of his own students a detention for no reason?! why in Merlin would he do that? there was something up with him and it was scaring them.

"Stop stalling and get on with your potion, the Befuddlement Draught won't make itself if it did that would be better than what you brats could make" he snapped at them which made some of the cry while others looked annoyed but he didn't care he just wanted to know why he was feeling sick but all the scans he did of himself turned out negative he just didn't know what was wrong again all he knew it was Tom's fault.

After lessons Harry went to check up on Severus but as he got closer to the door he noticed it slightly open and he could hear his parents arguing about something, he heard part of the conversation.

"...I hate it I tell you why me?"

".....love him....."

".....I hate it......"

"Why me?!" and he started crying but stopped and glared and then Tom was thrown out of the room and into the wall opposite the door.

"Papa are you ok?" Harry asked Tom but all he got was a cough and he passed out from the force.

"What has dad done?" he looked towards the door and knocked slightly and walked in to Severus crying his heart out.

"Dad?" 

Said man turned around red eyes and tears down his face.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't know son I really don't but its all your papa's fault that I know is for sure!"

"Um I don't think he's done anything of late besides eat my Bertie Botts beans and never replaced them, I do think he took your chocolate at one point".

"No I haven't eaten it and I know how many bars that I have and he hasn't eaten any I'm sure".

"Have you done a test to see if anything is wrong?"

"I have nothing has turned up" he started to cry again and didn't notice Nagini come in calling all three of them stupid hatchlings that made Otiz laugh at it all.

In the end Harry had called Poppy to help with Tom and he even asked if she could look at Severus but she was given the cold shoulder by the man as he went into his private lab.
