"Ret's see... something that's not too mature, but something that wirr stirr keep you interested..." Kiku-san thought out loud.
As it turns out, he has a room downstairs just for, what he calls, anime and manga. There were shelves chocked full of it! He's even sorted them out by genre. He was going through a section that read Magical Girl. Some of the cases of DVD's looked old and other cases looked newer. He has a lot for just this genre!
"Hmm... I wourd say that we shourd start with Sailor Moon, but that might be too shoujo for you..." He mumbled as he moved down the line.
I decided to look too, even though I don't know any of the titles. But by reading the title and looking at the pictures on the cases, I found some that looked appealing like: Magical DoReMi, Tokyo Mew Mew, Puella Mahou Madoka Magica, and Power Puff Girls Z. I picked up the last one and showed it to him.
"Do you want to watch that one?" He asked as he bent down to my level.
I nodded as my tail swished in excitement. He took the case from my hands and we traveled over to the more high-tech part of the room. There were flat screen TV's, comfy chairs, a tiny refrigerator to keep drinks cold, and there was also a container for snacks and candy. There were posters from different anime all over the walls and there were plushies on a many shelves.
Kiku-san opened the case and placed the DVD in the player. Once he got to the main screen, we found our seats and settled in. He passed me a familiar snack, pocky, and it immediately reminded me of Alfred.
I really hope that I get to see him again. Maybe if I'm lucky, I might poof to his house!
Soon enough, my journey to a mystical land began.
~ One binge watching session later ~
"It has been so rong since I've seen that~" Kiku-san reminisced.
"That. Was. Amazing! The tr-transformations, the a-attacks, the a-animation, I love i-it all, nya!" I exclaimed in excitement.
"I take it that you rike anime now?" He asked with a smile on his face.
"Yes~! I have t-to watch more, nya~!"
In all of my excitement I hadn't noticed that someone came through the door.
"I knew that you would be down here," Heracles said, "I thought that we were going somewhere."
I looked between the two and cocked my head to the side.
"Ah! Gomen, I got distracted," he apologized as he stood up and turned the TV off.
"Wh-Where are you t-two going, nya?" My curiosity spoke.
"There's a spring festivar tomorrow, Ueno Sakura Matsuri. We thought that it wourd be nice if you came arong with us," Kiku-san explained.
"B-But that's tomorrow, wh-what does that h-have to do with t-today, nya?" I'm still a little confused.
"We were going to go out and find you a kimono to wear to the festival," Heracles finished.
"K-Kimono?" My tail curled into a question mark.
"Hai, it's a beautifur piece of crothing that women wear on speciar occasions, especiarry at festivars," Kiku-san explained as we headed upstairs
"R-Really? Are festivals f-fun? Will there b-be food, nya?" I was starting to get excited as the cats welcomed us to the living room.
"Hai, there are a rot of things to do and rots of different foods to try. I am sure that you wirr love it."
"I wonder if there will be cats there..." Heracles seemed to go off into his own world.
