Chapter 51~ Somewhere Only We Know

The next morning, Daddy gave me a bath to wash the stress off my body. He said that it would make me feel better and it could calm my turning mind. To my surprise, it did! This reminded me of when he first took me in, I was really happy that he did. I would still be afraid of a bathtub full of water if he didn't tell me that I would be okay.

After I was all dried off and dressed for the day, I was confronted by Alfred. We were at the table eating breakfast when he offered to "educate" me about popular shows in his country. This gave me an idea to learn more about him. Also, it would give me a chance to relax. These past few days have been so eventful. So I accepted his offer with glee and we ventured into his room after breakfast.

"Let's start with some of my favorite cartoons!" He shouted with excitement as he searched through his phone.

I climbed on his bed and peered over to his phone. I didn't want to be nosy, but he didn't seem to mind. He actually put an arm around me to give me a better look.

"These are the cartoons that you need to know. Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, Avatar: The Last Air Bender, and Avatar: The Legend Of Korra," He showed me the pictures on his phone.

"I'm g-guessing Gravity Falls is wh-what got you i-into... crypt... crypt... cryptography?" I stumbled on the forgotten word.

"Yes! I was so psyched when I saw the encryptions at the end of the episodes! The ones during season two are pretty tough to cipher though..."

"Wh-What's Gravity Falls about?" I asked.

"It's about the mystery twins, Dipper and Mabel Pines that get sent to Gravity Falls, Oregon for the summer. Strange things happen in that town and it's up to them to uncover them! I love how they keep you wanting more after each episode!" His excitement was over flowing.

"That s-sounds so cool! Wh-What about Steven U-Universe?" I urged.

"Did someone say Steven Universe?" Papa opened the door, as if he was listening the whole time.

"Francis... you like Steven Universe?" Alfred cautiously asked.

"Of course! Rose Quartz iz simply gorgeous! While Sapphire and Ruby are so adorable!" I think this is what they call "fangirling." To the max.

"Have you seen the intro to season two? It's so epic!"

"I know right?! I love 'ow changed zhe pace iz and all of zhe new songs!"

They continued to share their excitement until they remembered that I was in the room. They made a sorry face and decided to let me watch their fandoms.

~ After Gravity Universe/Steven Falls ~

"Wh-Why isn't the g-government funding this?! Th-This is amazing!" I was overflowing with excitement.

"I take it that you like them now?" Alfred smirked.

"Yes! I w-wanna watch m-more please~!"

"Alright alright! But first we need to get you caught up with MLP, the new season has already aired and it's so totally awesome!"
