The next morning, Ivan took me ice skating. Yao decided to come with us and watch, he said that he was a little too old for something so dangerous. We were skating on a frozen pond after all. I used my powers to make a heavy coat and warm pants. Ivan surprised me with a special present.

"You m-made me m-mittens?!" My jaw dropped.

"And scarf and hat. Russia is cold and you didn't have any warm clothes. I thought I'd make some for you. You helped me and now I'm helping you," he bent down to my level and placed the knitted hat upon my head.

It was dark green with yellow and brown sunflowers. The scarf and mittens were matching to make a set. I jumped and embraced him with glee to express my gratitude.

"Thank you~" the words knew their place.

"You're welcome," he regained his posture and trekked back into the snow.

It was like a winter wonderland up here. Ivan's huge coat kept all of the warmth in, my hoodie and coat kept me cozy, and China... well... he made a fire.

Ivan had found some old ice skates that fit my size. He said that they used to be his younger sister's skates. Then he told me that he also had an older sister that looked out for the three of them.

I wonder if I looked out for Olivia... was I a good sister to her? I guess not since she despises my existence.

"Yao, do you want to skate? If the ice can hold me, then it can hold you too," Ivan offered as he danced along the ice. It's amazing how graceful someone so big can be.

"No thanks, I don't want to die today, aru," Yao waved him off as he made dumplings with his wok.

I giggled at their conversation, but that caused me to become off balanced and fall on my tush. Ivan helped me back up with a gentle smile as I repositioned my hat. Skating wasn't too hard, besides the fact that I keep falling, I'm actually having a lot of fun! Ivan always had to look down every once in a while to watch out for me since he's so tall. We ran into each other once, at least we tumbled into the snow.

Ivan held his hands behind his back as he glided across the ice as if it as nothing. He spun in circles as his long scarf danced in the trailing wind. He might have been reminiscing about something because his expression was distant. Although, he really seemed to be enjoying himself. Myself, on the other hand, was doing my own thing. It was a mix of speed acceleration, hugging the ice, spinning out of control, and observing the sky. No, I was not graceful whatsoever.

"You're getting better, Little Flower," Ivan sent me some words of encouragement.

"M-Maybe, but you're a-amazing at it!" I held onto his leg to stand.

He laughed, "That's because I've been skating since I was a child. My big sister, Ukraine, taught me how."

"She m-must be a n-nice person," I tried to regain my balance.

He placed his large hand upon my head, "She is. I'm sure she'd love to meet you."

"I l-love to meet h-her too!" My childish grin wouldn't leave my face.

After a while, Yao's cooking sent our noses over to his little space. I couldn't describe what delicious foods they were, all I know is that my mouth is watering. Despite it being frosty, we sat in the snow and had a nice brunch. Yao is an amazing cook! He might be better than Papa... might be.

I didn't have to say anything, my face expressed my gratitude and opinion for his cooking. It really is a wonder how food can change your view of the world. Food makes the world go round. Like stir fry and dumplings... I want to poof over to his place next. I love Chinese food~
