*Olivine's POV*

"That's the second time you willingly kissed me. I'm starting to think that you actually like me," Cody smirked.

"I was delusional the last time and I was trying to make you feel better this time! It's not that I don't like you, I just... don't dislike you," I reasoned.

"Ouch, my pride," he teased in a monotone.

"Well you're the one who kissed me first!" I clinched my fists.

"You didn't pull away," he reminded.

My face flushed red; he wasn't wrong. I tried to make a comeback but nothing came to mind. He won this battle in full.

"A-Anyway, what are we going to do going forward?" My mind focused.

"Can we start off by spending more time together? I know that things are complicated now. I mean, this story has been changed in so many ways..." he rambled on.

"What? What do you mean this story?" I repeated.

"W-Well I mean with everything happening and what happened with us. Some of those things shouldn't have happened. But some of the most unexpected things make the best memories," he stumbled upon his words as if he was trying to hide something.

The sun changed the blue canvas to a creamy orange. I had forgotten how much time had passed since I ran away. I also didn't realize that the dark spirits turned into light. A few of them lingered above Cody, but that's normal. Depression doesn't go away that easily.

"I should probably head back, I did kind of run... run... achew!" I sneezed into my arm.

"Awww you have little baby sneezes," Cody cooed.

"Shut up! I'm just really cold..." my body shivered. My clothes were still damp from the last time I got caught in the rain. I had forgotten to change them.

He stepped away from me and positioned his hands in the air. With a swift motion, he pulled the rainwater from my hair and clothes. His water bending skills were nothing but perfection.

"Thanks."

"No problem, love," he winked.

"Don't do that. Ever again. Anyways, how about I see you later tonight? We can make up for the time that we spent apart. Nothing like a date though, just to catch up. Although, I'm not sure how I'm going to explain this to my dad--"

"There's no need, I heard everything," my father appeared from the frozen trees. "I apologize for listening in on your conversation, but I was just concerned for Olivine's safety."

Cody froze and forgot how to speak. His conversational skills needed work when it comes to talking to someone other than myself. He mumbled something to quietly then breathed deeply.

"I understand... um, I'm Cody. I guess you can call me her guardian," his speech was far from confident.

"I'm Arthur, I would be her adopted father."

"I actually know who you are. England, sir. It's kind of my duty to know all of the countries... being the representation of water," he kept his hands in his pockets and his voice was low.
