Y/n's POV:

Whist I waited for Scarlett to get changed, I grabbed my phone to call Sophie. My hands were still shaking as I dialled her number. I had never experienced anything like today and it's really thrown me off. After a couple of rings Sophie's cheery voice answered my call.

Sophie: Hey Y/n/n, how's Atlanta?

Y/n: Hey Soph, yeah, it's good. How are you and Ava?

Sophie: We're doing great. Ava has the school trip to the Aquarium tomorrow, so she's really excited for that.

Y/n: Oh yeah, I forgot that was tomorrow. I left some money on my desk for her to take so she can buy something from the gift shop.

Sophie: Ok, I'll grab that on my way home this evening. Are you ok Y/n? You sound down. Is everything ok with Scarlett?

She always could read me so well, even when she can just hear my voice. I let out a shaky breath before responding.

Y/n: That's actually why I was calling. Scar had an accident on set today and got knocked unconscious.

Sophie: Oh my God, what happened? Is she ok? Is she at the hospital?

Her voice was suddenly full of concern as she threw a load of questions at me. Scarlett and Sophie had become pretty good friends since my accident and I know they both care about each other a lot.

Y/n: There was an accident in one of the stunts she was doing. She has a concussion, but she says she's doing fine other than that. The doctor checked her over and has told her she needs to rest.

Sophie: Thank goodness she's ok. It must have been pretty rough huh?

Y/n: Soph, it was so fucking scary. She was just led there, and it felt like she was out of it for so long. I can't believe she's now up and walking around with a smile on her face.

Sophie: She's made of tough stuff that woman.

Y/n: You can say that again. Stunts are her favourite part of her job too!

Sophie: Oh, come on Y/n, you're not exactly in a position to worry about that stuff when you do what you do for a living. Besides, I bet before this, there was a part of you that wanted to have a go at all these stunts in her position.

Y/n: I guess you're right. When are you not! But anyway, I was actually calling for another favour....

There was a pause on the phone as I second guessed whether this was the right thing to do without talking to Scarlett first. I guess if she's not happy about it then I stick to the original plan.

Sophie: Hmmm, ok I don't think I like the sound of that but go on.

Y/n: I really don't like the idea of leaving Scarlett whilst she is recovering. The doctor said she should be ready to go back to work on Monday. So, I was wondering if you could watch Ava so I can stay until Sunday. I know it's a lot to ask, you've already had her most of the week and...

Sophie: Hey Y/n, stop rambling. Of course, it's ok. You need to be there for Scarlett. Besides, Matt is away on a business trip, so I'll enjoy the company. This week has kind of made me realise that I've missed spending time with Ava. I need to find a better balance between you guys and Matt.

Y/n: Thanks, Soph, I owe you one, as usual! But don't worry about us. Your relationship with Matt is new and exciting. We're not going anywhere so enjoy the time with him.

Sophie: But you managed to balance your time when you started seeing Scarlett.

Y/n: Yeah, but that was a different situation. Stop worrying. Ava and I aren't annoyed with you. We just appreciate the time we do have with you so much more. And besides, we love spending time with Matt too.
