Scarlett's POV:

When I wake up, I can't help but pout when I feel the cold empty sheets next to me. I lie on my back and relive yesterday in my head. I was stupid to keep where we were staying from her. I especially should have given her a heads up that I'm not really sure what my dad thinks of our relationship.

Every time I would try to bring up our relationship up with him, he would change the subject. I love my dad and I know he would never do anything that would hurt me. But there is clearly a part of me that is worried about how he's going to act when he gets here tomorrow.

I try and push any negative thoughts away, focusing on today with my brother and show Y/n around my home city. I turn to grab my phone and see that it's already 10am. I must have been really tired to sleep in that late. As my girlfriend has decided to leave me alone, I go into Ava's room to wake up the little monkey so we can go down together. I know she might be shy to go down on her own.

However, I'm greeted by a made bed. I turn on my heel and start to make my way downstairs. As I get closer to the kitchen, I can hear chatting and laughing and, most importantly, can smell a cooked breakfast!

As I reach the archway between the hall and the kitchen, the sight that greets me helps to wash away any doubts that were left lingering. Mom, Y/n and Ava are all in their pyjamas, dancing around the kitchen to the music that is quietly playing, as they cook breakfast.

Ava is sat at the kitchen island on her knees on the stool as she whisks eggs. Her little butt bouncing around to the music. Mom and Y/n are switching between preparing and cooking food. They're all singing along to the music and laughing at each other's goofy dance moves.

As Y/n spins around singing into the spatula to Ava, she notices me lingering in the hallway and her smile grows wide. "Good morning angel." She greets me, causing mom and Ava to both turn their heads to wish me a good morning. Y/n walks over to me and places her hands on my hips, swaying them to the music. "Have you come to join our dance party?" Y/n asks with a wink. "Seems like I've been missing out." I respond as I drape my arms over her shoulders.

We dance together, moving our hips before Y/n spins me into a seat next to Ava. I give Ava a quick squeeze and give her a kiss on her head. "Careful Scarly! I'm whisking here!" She lightly scolds me, and we all laugh at her determination as well as the almost New Yorker accent that came out.

Ava's accent is very slowly starting to morph into an American one. There are certain words that she has picked up, or phrases and it's like she's lived here all her life. But I think Y/n is glad that it's taking it's time to completely disappear.

I'm handed a bowl of fruit by my mom, along with a chopping board and knife, quickly being put to work. "This seems like a lot of food for breakfast!" I say, and my mom turns to look at me seriously. "You do remember that Hunter is coming?" She queries and I laugh. He does have one hell of an appetite.

We all do our jobs as we get the food ready, before mom sends us all up to get dressed as apparently, it's not appropriate for us to greet Hunter in our pyjamas! Y/n helps Ava pick out an outfit before leaving her to get ready on her own. She comes into the bedroom and starts to change, and I can see the tension slowly building in her body.

I know that Hunter already loves Y/n. Seeing how she protected me from the paparazzi was enough for him. But Y/n doesn't know that yet. This is a lot, for her and I know she just wants to make a good impression. When she sits on the bed to put her socks on, I sit behind her and slowly start to massage her shoulders, causing her to lean into my touch.

"Today is going to be fine." I reassure her. "It's your brother. Your twin no less. He's just as important as getting the parents approval." She says in a jokey manner, but I can tell she's trying to hide her nerves. As I squeeze her shoulders tighter, her head drops, and she moans at the feeling. "That's nice." She mumbles and I smile when her shoulders release their tension under my touch.
