Scarlett's POV:

After the statements went out yesterday, my phone has been going nuts. Thankfully, it seems to have done the job and there has been a lot of support for Y/n across social media and other news outlets. Dina even called to let me know that she's been receiving a lot of requests for interviews with Y/n, but that's something we'll deal with when we're back in LA. I would like for the rest of this trip to be as unproblematic as possible.

That's why at the moment, I'm hiding from Y/n trying to plan something for just the two of us to do today. I want to treat her to something special after everything she's been through the last couple of days. It's not how I wanted this weekend to go at all.

Thinking about what we could do, I finally land on going to a show on Broadway. I know how much she loves musicals and seeing something on Broadway is something else. It takes me a while, but I end up deciding on getting tickets for Waitress. It only came out last year and I've heard rave reviews about it. Y/n is a big Sara Bareilles fan, so it's just another reason to take her.

Luckily, I'm able to get some tickets for tonight. I'd also like to take her out to a fancy restaurant for dinner. I want to go all out as we've not done that for a while with just the two of us. It's going to be a great little date night.

Once I've made my plans, I head downstairs to find my mom. She's currently sat watching everyone playing a game of soccer outside. I take a seat next to her and she slides me a freshly made cup of coffee. We watch for a while as Y/n and Ava take on Dad and Hunter.

Hunter is as competitive as me, and I can tell he is trying very hard not to go all out to make sure that he wins! Me and mom just end up laughing every time he has a mini sulk when they score against him.

I eventually decide that I should probably check with mom that she's ok to watch Ava whilst I take Y/n out on a date night. "Hey, mom. I have a favour to ask." I start the conversation and she diverts her attention to me. "I would like to do something special for Y/n tonight and I'm planning on taking her to see Waitress on Broadway and perhaps have a nice meal beforehand..."

Before I can even finish, she interrupts me. "We can watch Ava. You two have fun, you both deserve it after the stress of the last couple of days. Besides, it'll give me some time to focus on my future granddaughter." She offers with a smirk. I blush when she says that. I know how much she wants grandkids, and it seems like she is already making her plans for Ava becoming hers!

I smile when I see her gaze return to the 7 year old in the garden cheering when she scores a goal. "I was wondering if you'd be ok to have her overnight if Ava is ok with that of course. I just thought we could stay at my place to save us having to come out of the city late." I ask, wanting to make sure that Y/n doesn't have to worry about anything. Mom turns to look at me and raises her eyebrow at me with a smirk. "Can't wait until you're back home hey?" She teases and I blush, hiding myself behind my mug.

"We've not waited." I mumble to myself, but mom hears it and instantly slaps my arm. "Scarlett Ingrid Johansson! You did not have sex in my home?!" She jokingly scolds me and I blush even more. "Urgh, you can wash those sheets before you go." She laughs and turns back to watch the game outside. "I guess I should be glad you've got a relationship where you can't keep your hands off each other." She says more to herself than me.

"But of course, as long as Ava is comfortable, I'm happy for you to have your dirty night away." She answers and nudges my shoulder. Just kill me now! Just as we finish that conversation, Y/n comes in to grab some water. "Hey Angel. Hi Melanie." Y/n greets as she walks in coming over to give me a kiss on the head. Mom smirks at her and Y/n looks at me with a confused look. "Don't ask!" I tell her before she can be dragged into this awkward conversation.
