Y/n's POV:

I think I'm still in shock from the bedroom that Scarlett had made up for Ava. It was completely perfect. It had everything in there that she loves, and I know that she will never want to leave it whenever we stay over. It puts her room back in the apartment to shame.

It's actions like this that just help to reiterate the fact that Scarlett is completely committed to this relationship. Just as doubts start to creep into my mind, she does something that blows them away. She cares so much for Ava, and she has always been so considerate of her in every way possible. The only person that has ever been this amazing with Ava is Sophie. It's great to know that she has someone else that will do anything for her.

It was a strangely calm morning with just the three of us. That was until Lizzie and Sophie turned up. Then everything seemed to just become so crazy. They enter the house with their hands full of bags and then scurried back out to get more things out of the car.

Sophie and Lizzie had insisted that they were going to deal with all the food. They had this whole buffet style menu planned. "Are you preparing to feed an army?" I teasingly ask as I help them to unload the food from the bags. "Evans, Hemsworth, Mackie, and Seb are coming. I'm worried this might not be enough!" Lizzie responds quite seriously. I laugh but quickly stop when she glares at me.

Whilst I'm helping out the two chefs, I look over and see Scarlett keeping Ava entertained. They are playing a card game and by the look on Scarlett's face, Ava's winning. I can't help the smile that grows on my face, watching the small interaction. "It's sickening how in love you two are!" Sophie teases me, giving my shoulder a nudge.

I shake my head to focus back on my job of chopping up the peppers. "You know that you and Matt are the same. You just have a bit more public lust." I taunt her right back. She gasps and stares at me. "I'm sorry Soph but I'm with Y/n on this. I barely see you two together, but when I do, I feel like it's only a matter of time until you start ripping each other's clothes off." Lizzie jumps in adding to Sophie's pain.

Her cheeks go a dark red, her hand tightly gripping the knife in her hand, and her mouth opens and closes as she's trying to find a response, but nothing is coming. Thankfully, before she can stab me, we're interrupted by the doorbell. "I'll get it." Scarlett shouts out to us.

"GRAMPA ROBERT!" Ava shouts when she sees him coming through the door. She runs at him, and he picks her up with ease, spinning her around. "Happy birthday munchkin! How old are you this year? 13?" He jokes and Ava laughs. "No silly! I'm 7!" She says, holding up her fingers to indicate. "Wow, only 7?! You seem like a such a big girl now!" Robert replies. Ava giggles once again and looks over his shoulder when she notices the door has shut.

"Where's Grandma Susan, Exton and Avri?" She asks, disappointment lacing her voice. "Ava, please don't tell me you've start call Susan Grandma? She's only 42!" I exclaim. "I can't call her auntie when I call Robert Grampa!" She replies as if it was a stupid question. "Yes, but Robert is old, Susan is not." I reply, laughing at Robert's attempt at faking being insulted.

"Don't worry. Susan loves it. I think. Anyway, I'm here to help get everything ready! They'll be here later." Robert explains and places Ava back on the floor now that she's happy. "I've got a load of games and pool things in the car. Where shall I put them?" He asks turning back towards the door. "Just anywhere outside. I've put a pump on the table so you can blow up the inflatables. Even though I'm sure you've got enough hot air to fill them yourself." Scarlett teases and once again Robert scoffs.

"I don't know why I even bother to be nice sometimes." He mumbles as he makes his way back to the car. I turn around and smile at Scarlett who's got a smug look on her face. "You're going to bruise his ego on day." I joke and she laughs. "That man will never have a scratch against his ego." Scarlett replies, before giving me a quick peck and returning to the sofa with Ava.
