Stevie woke up the following morning unsure if she had slept at all. She had no idea, when they finally called it a night. What she knew for sure, though, was that she was exhausted and sore, but completely satisfied nonetheless.

The other side of the bed was empty. It was quite, too. Stevie frowned, the memories quickly faded from her mind. Of course, he used you, she thought, you were all too eager to give it up. An easy lay. Then the sound of running water came from the bathroom and relief washed over her. Why was she so relieved, though? Thinking about that for a few minutes, Stevie kicked the bedsheet off and swung her legs over the edge of the bed. She didn't consider putting any clothes on, after the night they spent, there was really nothing Lindsey hadn't seen of her.

The bathroom door was unlocked and Stevie walked in. She felt tempted to join Lindsey in the shower, but the feeling went away quickly. She just couldn't do it physically. Not yet.

Hearing the commotion, Lindsey opened the sliding glass door and stuck his head out, a grin on his face. "Hey."

"Hey." Stevie smiled back, picking up her toothbrush.

"Care to join me?"

Stevie stared at Lindsey through the mirror and shook her head, attempting to speak with her mouth full of toothpaste. "Hell no. You stay away from me."

Lindsey laughed in response and disappeared out of view to finish washing himself off last night. While Stevie waited for her turn, she grabbed her hair brush, knowing that it was going to take some time to untangle all the knots.

The water stopped shortly and Lindsey stepped out, seeing no problem in the immediately wet floor where he stood. He caught Stevie's stare and raised an eyebrow. "Seriously?"

"Yes, seriously." Stevie nodded.

"It's a hotel, Stevie." Lindsey rolled his eyes, unfolding an unused towel to dry himself off.

"And your point is?" She crossed her arms, expecting an answer from him.

He just closed the short gap between them and kissed her minty fresh mouth. "You're cute."

Stevie scoffed, following Lindsey into the bedroom. She had a lot to say, but she stopped herself, when he reached for his clothes. The sudden silence made him look her way.

"Is everything alright?"

"Oh, uh-" Stevie forced a smile, nodding her head. "Yeah, everything's fine." She waved it off.

"Doesn't sound like it." Lindsey grew concerned and approached her, cupping her face in the palms of his hands. "What's up?"

Stevie ignored his eyes until she realized that he wasn't going to drop it. "It's stupid."

"What's stupid?"

She sighed, wrapping her small fists around his wrists to pull his hands away. "I just... I thought... I thought, you weren't going to just run out."

"You mean, you want me to stay?" Lindsey asked gently, not wanting to embarrass her any more. She shrugged. "I just figured, you wouldn't want that. I tried saving you from trying to tell me that."

Her eyebrows creased, she was confused. "I don't want you to go."

"I don't want to go." He shook his head.

Stevie gave him a small smile, then turned away to look for a clean set of clothes. "You pick something for us to eat from room service, while I take a shower?"

"You got it." Lindsey nodded, his eyes remained on her until she disappeared behind the bathroom door.
