"Stevie?" Lindsey called out from the bathroom, drying his curls with a towel. "Stevie?" He repeated, walking out and immediately felt guilty, when he saw her napping with Lily right beside her.

They spent the whole day out sightseeing in the heat, Stevie had to be exhausted so Lindsey let her sleep. He pulled a pair of boxers up, grabbed a drink from the minibar and snuck out onto the balcony. After the day they had, it was nice to just sit and do absolutely nothing.

Lindsey couldn't help as his mind began racing. He only wanted to get away for a while; forget about his every day routine, his work. He never imagined that he would meet someone. Was he just fooling himself? It was easy to promise things while they were together. He couldn't possibly know, what was going to happen when Stevie went home. She could have just been infatuated with him. Even though she said, her relationship was over, he couldn't really trust her. Was she really ready to walk out on the man she had spent the past several years with, to give something new a chance?

A pair of hands lay on Lindsey's shoulders and he smiled. Stevie wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Hey."

"Hey." Lindsey echoed.

"Whatcha doin' out here?" Stevie asked, letting go of him to take a seat. "You should have woken me up."

"You needed to rest." Lindsey shook his head, reaching for her hand he brought it up to his lips. She could tell that he was a little tense. She stayed quiet, giving him a chance to open up, when he was ready to do so. "It's our last day here."

"I know." Stevie sighed, looking out into the distance. "And that worries you."

"Yeah." Lindsey replied, turning to face her. "Everything we've talked about..." He paused and swallowed uneasily. "I still mean all of it, Stevie."

"You think, I don't?" She asked and he shrugged his shoulders. "I do. I understand, why you're nervous. We're going to say goodbye tomorrow and I'm going back to the same apartment I've shared with Dean for a long time. That's okay, you're allowed to feel this way. But I swear to you-" She cupped his cheek and tilted his head up, when he cast his eyes down. "I'll stay there only for as long as it takes for me to find a place to live and move out."

"You could stay with me."

"I don't think that's a very good idea." She shook her head, hoping that deep down he knew it too. "I want this to start the right way. I want us to get to know each other before we shack up."

Lindsey laughed weakly at that. "No, I get it. Just... none of this was supposed to happen. Now, I can't imagine being away from you."

"I'll be back." She promised. "Then you won't be able to get away from me."

"Sounds nice." He smiled somewhat sadly. "I'll be waiting."

"You won't have to wait long." She said, making yet another promise.
