"I think, it's time for me to go." Stevie announced and was about to stand up, but Lindsey held onto her tighter instead.
"I don't think so." Lindsey shook his head. "It's only-" He checked his phone. "After 1 am."
"Yes, exactly - it's late." Stevie tried to wear a serious expression on her face, but it was becoming increasingly harder to do so, when Lindsey's hands began wandering and he leaned in closer to nuzzle her neck. "That's not fair." She pushed at his shoulder weakly. "You know, I can't resist you."
"I do." He nodded and she felt him smile against her skin. "I just got you back, I'm not about to let you go."
"I- we-" Stevie couldn't form a full sentence, she closed her eyes and threw her head back with a sigh when his open mouth kissed along the curve of her neck. "Jen-Jennifer is worried, I'm sure."
"The woman, who already hates me?" Lindsey pulled back a little to cup her face. "I can't see, how I could possibly make things worse." He smirked and pressed his lips to hers. "Text her and stay." He said in between light kisses.
"W-what about E-Emily?" Stevie gulped, when his hand slid up her inner thigh under her skirt.
"She's in her room, I've got my own." He said. "With a working lock."
All valid points, Stevie thought, allowing herself to really kiss him back. Only for a short moment, though. She parted their lips and put her hand over Lindsey's. He frowned, clearly displeased.
"I'll stay." Stevie said and held up a hand, when Lindsey moved in again. "But we're not having sex."
"And the reason behind that is...?" Lindsey asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Because it's weird." Stevie emphasized. "We're not a couple of horny teenagers, we don't have to have sex, while your sister is here."
"Speak for yourself." Lindsey scoffed, making her laugh, which softened him up in no time. "I've missed you, that's all." He sighed, leaning in closer, he pressed his forehead to hers and ran his fingers through her hair.
"I've missed you, too." Stevie smiled, cradling his face in her palms, she kissed him softly. "It's been a very long week, trust me. More than a week."
"Yeah?" Lindsey drew back, his interest piqued. "Have you... done anything to-"
"Let me stop your right there." Stevie shook her head with a laugh. "I'm not talking about it."
"Oh, I see." He grinned. "Have I helped in any way? Perhaps a though about me-"
"One more word and I'm leaving." Stevie warned and he made a motion as if to zip up his mouth.
"Come on." Lindsey got up on his feet and held his hand out for her. "If not to ravage each other, I still think, we should go to bed."
"It's been an emotionally exhausting day." Stevie agreed with a nod and she stood up to follow him into his bedroom.
"Is a T-shirt okay for you to sleep in?" Lindsey asked, locking the door, when they entered his room.
"Oh, it's okay." Stevie waved it off. "I can sleep in my underwear."
Lindsey shook his head, on his way to find something for her to wear. "You really can't."
"Why not?" Stevie frowned, not following.
"I need as many layers of clothes separating us as possible." Lindsey answered, holding up a plain grey shirt. "This okay?"
"Yeah." Stevie nodded, chuckling. "It's okay."
